Anyone take any?
My allergies are OUT OF CONTROL. All I do anymore is sleep, and when I'm awake, I'm groggy, my eyes itch and water, my nose runs or is stuffy, etc. But when I take meds I'm loopy and out-of-it. It's a no-win situation!
I take Zyrtec at night, but I need a non-drowsy med for the day.

Try Claritin, most people don't have side effects with it and it doesn't have that drowsy affect.

I wish I could help you. I am SUPER sensitive to medicine. I don't have allergic reactions per se, but they all make me tired, even the non drowsy ones.

Claritin is good. I am using Tylenol Complete (used to be Allergy/Sinus) and that's helping me out right now.

I've had little to no luck with OTC and RX allergy meds. What about the allergy nasal sprays and/or something naturopathic?

I use Claritin-D and I don't get drowsy...but then I've been on it for years. It's SOOOO expensive though. I try to buy 3 packs at a time at BJs, or just go for the generic brand.

Which is exactly why you need to go work for a pharma company! Work at the company that makes OTC drugs you like and you can get them like 40% off at the company store :)

Claritin doesn't work for me. I take Allegra and it's about the only one that doesn't knock me out. Allavert works OK if it's not that pollinated outside...

Tylenol Allergy Sinus is the best one for me. Most of the other prescription and OTC ones make my nose bleed or fall asleep. The Tylenol OTC one is the one I use when I have to go outside at this time of year.

Allegra makes me feel like I'm on speed. But it's pretty much the only thing that works for me.

Try Alavert non-drowsy disintegrating tablets. I take those right before I get my allergy shots so that I don't get a big reaction to them. They just dissolve in your mouth, no need to swallow them. There wasn't really any OTC that would work for my allergies. Last December, I started getting allergy shots (5 shots, twice a week at beginning, but now I'm down to 5 shots, once a week). It's helped so much. I had to do a series of skin tests first to determine what I was allergic to, which ended up being almost everything except for dogs. Then they made my allergens and that's when I started getting my shots. For as bad as my health insurance is at work, these shots are actually covered.
