Can you have a migraine that only hurts for a few minutes and then goes away?
I've had a headache like that for several days and it doesn't respond to any medicine I have.

Maybe I'm not following you here, but how can you have a headache that only lasts for a few minutes for a few days?

It's a sharp pain for five minutes and then goes away for a few minutes to an hour until it comes back.

Hmmm, that sounds more like a tension-related headache rather than a migraine. I get migraines and it's def. not just 5 minutes.
