Who here has heard of or been involved where a group of [co-]workers quit simultaneously (for converging or diverging reasons), and (usually) without notice?

By the time I quit from my restaurant position on Valentine's Day (which at the time was a blacked out day), I was considering trying to recruit a co-worker who also had problems with the restaurant to quit with me, but we had diverging shifts.

In certain cases, like mine, even 2 people quitting without notice at the same time can seriously paralyze operations (which was my raison d'etre for quitting, since I've had it with them)

Dude, why do you always bring up this subject? Every post, it's all the same!

I just still feel extremely bitter (and vindictive) over my treatment there, that I still can't let go of my burning anger over my career stagnation.

Dude, you need to deal with your anger issues. SO this job didn't pan out, so the fuck what? There reaches a certain point where you just need to let it go and move on. Geez! If all you are doing is moping about this job, no wonder your career is stagnated.

I know, it's a fucking restaurant job. Get over it. Didn't you just say in another thread that you've passed all your Microsoft certs. or something?

Not all yet...I was hoping to pass them by mid-May, but even that is now a stretch (3 consecutive weeks of classes)...I am more looking at mid-June (for MCSA)...I have five exams to go for the MCSE, but only two for MCSA, and I may also be taking the Cisco exams for my Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA).

Unless I get a lucky bounce, the final course I need for MCSE is *not* even offered until (ACK!) August.

At least you plan on finishing though! You have something to look forward to.

AM I missing somthing? But if you have no job, you would think that 3 consecutive weeks of classes would be a breeze. Am I wrong

Well, when someone continually begins threads about the same situation for MONTHS now, I think we have the right to tell him to get over it. It's gone on long enough.

message boards like this are helpful when they provide support for people -- not admonishment. sometimes the best thing is just to hear "i know what you're going through," or "you're not alone."

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Sometimes being supportive includes being a bit harsh. The original poster has posted the same topic FOR MONTHS and at first we ALL said 'we understand" and "you are not alone", but there comes a point where a person needs to stop complaining about the past and focus on future endeavors.

Yeah pretty much all the threads he's started have been about that job or other things that had to do with quitting the job or doing things to get back at the people at that job. So we've already gone through the being supportive. He does need to get over it.

Initially I was hoping to get at least 85-90% of everything (that is get my MCSA, with my ultimate goal being MCSE) done prior to mid-May, and at least get some level of employment by then, but that will *not* be the case as I suffered two setbacks, including a bout with a stomach ailment in February which pushed my schedule back around a week or two.

Goldeneye, I agree with everyone else that you have some serious anger issues with your job/career. Yes, you have not gotten the best shot, or things haven't gone swimmingly, whatever, but at some point you have to forgive Old Man Circumstance and move on emotionally, otherwise you'll be stuck. Easier said than done I know, but you are always posting the same stuff and I think you're spinning your wheels.

That said, yes, at my first job out of college, 10 of us (in a group of 20) quit in a 6 day period. 5 other people quit in a three month period (of which the 6 days was a part). The morning I quit, there was literally a line of 2 other people outside the Senior Manager's door of people with resignation letters in hand.
