I don't even remember the last time the last time I had a physical, and the last time I had a dentist visit was almost 4 years ago.

That said, I have no health/dental insurance at any level.

Anyone else in that same predictament that I am in?

I haven't been to the dentist since October 2001. Heh oops. But when I did go I didn't have any cavities, and that was after 2 yrs of not going! AND they told me as long as I take care of them, i won't have to have my wisdom teeth out.

But yeah, my family has never had dental insurance, they always just paid for it. I can't afford to do that now.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out back in 1998, despite only one of them having a problem.

Yeah they get you with the whole "but you must have them all taken out because if you take one out then the other has nothing to bite down on"

The dentist i saw called me one of the "lucky club members" whose wisdom teeth came in perfectly with enough room to grow in.

I go to the dentist's every six months (and it looks like I have an appt. later this month.) I haven't had a physical since I was 18, though.

I haven't had a real physical in awhile either. I usually only go to my regular doc when I'm sick. But I do have my yearly gyn appt.

I am really good about these types of things because I am paranoid.

I just had a yearly physical w/ every kind of test, lab, exam you can imagine. I have insurance, and for some reason I still ended up spending $200.

I also go to the dentist regularly...although I need to find a new dentist.

I get a physical with the regular doctor and a gyno once a year because I need to be convinced that even though I love food and am a slacker when it comes to exercising, I am really a healthy person.

As for the dentist, I go twice a year with my parents. Even though I hate going, I get a kick when the dentist tells me I'm aok :)

labs are considered "unnecessary". Aetna sqwaks about having to pay for the lab to test for HIV!

I figured it had something to do w/ that. Frustrating. Although, totally worth $200 was knowing I'm super healthy.
