I jsut needed someone to vent to so...i guess you guys are it.

I jsut went to the dentist and I need a root canal, a crown and possibly up to 11 cavities filled.

I think I'm going to cry. I haven't had dental insurance for two years. This is what I get....

Wow, that's pretty bad. Do you brush your teeth??? How did that happen? I don't mean that in a negative way - that's just really extreme.

I don't know how it happened.

I didin't have dental insurance for two year,s so no check-ups and I've always had bad teeth. Plus, in college I was really bad about brushing my teeth. but I try to all the time now and floss. It's hard to keep up when you have no set schedule, but I have one now, making it way easier.

I tell myself it must be inherited somehow. My parents both have bad teeth from growing up in Vietnam where there is no dental care of any kind. So they didin't really instill the best dental practices on me.

well I lived kind of hectic-like in college. Odd hours at the paper, plus long hours studying (if i even got to studying) I practically lived with my last boyfriend. I was almsot never at home, and would come home exhausted. Msot days i jsut fell on my bed and passed out. If i even made it to my bed. I have always brushed my teeth in the morning. Jsut really bad about before i go to bed.

I'm lazy, really that is my issue with pretty much everything.

hmm...well, I would recommend getting the cavities filled ASAP. You dont' want to let those sit or they'll end up as root canals as well.

Wow, you are young for a root canal. My dad is prone to them; he's had at least five. Sorry to hear about yours!

Today I got my root canal done, and i feel soo much better.

It's going to cost me, and I have to get a crown next month....but on the up side, I started flossing all the time now?

At least something good came out of it?
