Has anyone ever heard of too strong a dose of prozac causing someone with panic disorder to have a panic attack? Just wondering...

I'm on 60mg daily and from the beginning it was causing me to be a bit "speedy", couldn't stay calm or concentrate. However this only lasted a couple of weeks, until the blood levels balanced.

It wouldn't surprise me. I took it for a little while and it gave me fits of rage. I would absolutely blow up. It was nuts. So, that didn't last. You might try looking at prozacspotlight.org. They used to have a message board where people would talk about side effects. And there's a somewhat weird, but still informative site called prozactruth.org, too.

I'm on Prozac but never heard of that before. As far as side effects, I had no appetite and had trouble sleeping for about a month, but that went away. I stuck with it because it worked so well.

The appetite loss thing is true. Since on Prozac, I lost all the weight I gained during the break from it. However, I attribute this to the fact that the drug helps me TREMENDOUSLY with emotional eating - I can buy a box of cookies, eat two and leave the rest for later (which to me used to seem just impossible). I started taking Prozac due to an eating disorder, so my emotional eating problem was quite bad.
