Does anyone else use the Internet for practically EVERYTHING? I just realized I do almost every day-to-day activity online, whether it's renting movies, organizing my day looking up area events, communication, and shopping. It's amazing how 'net-dependent I've become over the past couple of years. Not to mention I've even taken some college courses online, further encouraging my stay-at-home status. (I do have a full-time office job, so I can only enjoy this on a part-time basis).
It's a pretty productive and efficient lifestyle. Thoughts anyone?

Welcome to the 90's, oh wait its 2000's. I work online, bills online, news online, conversate online, listen / find music online....
Only thing I do w/out a computer is drive my car and sleep i think. Or getting hammered at the bar :)

I don't know anyone my age or younger who doesn't do most of their work online. For me, having to deal with snail mail or having to make a phone call instead of being able to find info online really irritates me.
Your definatly not alone there :)

I can remember 10 years ago if you used the computer for anything you were a nerd.
Now, football players are playing MMORPG games and nerds are running businesses out of their bedrooms. I basically use the internet for music, communication, and informational needs. The quarterback of my highschool football team was embarrased to admit he played Everquest, lol.

Yeah, I use the internet for everything - I pay bills online, I bank online, I check the weather online, I get my news online, I e-mail and IM more than I actually call people.

I use it for a lot but it's funny to me how my parents rarely use the computer for things because they are the opposite and don't know what a computer is good for. I think my dad plays games on it and my mom did use the web to look up info and buy tickets for their trip to hawaii and also to email her relatives who are scattered across the US. But other than that they don't turn it on because they don't trust it to bank and don't do IM or pay bills, or shop, etc.

Ooh, ooh! I can top that! My mother's only 43. (Yes, I know, she's young, she had me at 17) But the generation divide is SOOO obvious between her and me. I've tried to get her to go online several times and it doesn't work. She won't get a computer at home because she "stares at one all day at work and doesn't want to look at it when [she] gets home". I've tried to explain that it's not the same when you're using it for non work things but it doesn't fly with her. I think I'm going to buy her one for Christmas this year ANYWAY.

Well my parents FINALLY just accepted me and net life after awhile. I started at 17 and it was clear to them by 20 this wasn't going to cease.
My past two girlfriends have come from the net. lol
My grandma thinks i'm ULTRA crazy.
I forget whether I met friends most days now. Was it in real life or on the internet? Is there even a difference anymore. I consider meeting someone on the net no different than in a mall. You NEVERRRRR know what to expect. You just hope they aren't crazy. lol
I hate phones so I love IM's. Allows u the chance to multi-chat with numerous friends instead of being tied up with one all the time.
I use it for just about everything. I hate when folks dont check their email on a regular. i'm like GET IT TOGETHER!!!!
