Every time I check to see who's online, there is a guest (with a diff. ISP) checking out my profile. WTF? Why am I so interesting? Go away!

How do you know someone is viewing your profile?

I just said, when I check to see who's online...it says where everyone is and what they are looking at.

Where do we find that at?

Oh, maybe you can't do it...and only mods can?
ETA: make sure you are on the main forums page...then at the bottom where it says "currently active users" with everyone's names below that...you can click on currently active users and it has everyone who's online at that time and what they are looking at and their ISP. If it's a guest, it just says "guest."

Yeah, but when nonmods look at "Who's Online?" It will just say that a given guest or member is "looking at user profile;" it won't say WHOSE user profile. I think only mods can see what individual user profiles people are looking at. We probably all have people looking at our profiles all the time, we just don't know it. I know I look at people's profiles.

I've been looking at that 'Who's Online' for a few days and it seems interesting that most of the guests are looking at archived posts. Like they're catching up before they register.

Guests can also just be regulars who aren't signed in, or are signed in as invisible. They aren't necessarily all true visitors.

Maybe its just because you have so many posts and you're in so many threads that statistically it just makes sense...but that is very alarming. I don't like thinking that any random person (not a registered member) is looking at anything I do here.

Yes, especially after my problems at soon to be former job.

My bf knows where this site is, and could easily figure out who I am....that alone freaks me out. Not that I have anything to hide, I just don't want to have to censor AT ALL.

I used to not give a shit about who was reading my posts, tracing my history on this site, etc. Then my psycho ex-friend re-registered on here immediately after WB leaves and it's like, ew! I am being watched!
So, I understand, Jen.

Dude, it's a public site, though. I can't get too jazzed about it. By nature, everything I post here is public. It's up to me how many identifying details I post with that in mind. I seriously don't worry about it.
