The server has been upgraded, you can now resume to using www.quarterlifecrisis.com/forums. Thanks for your patience.

Abby, when I go to the home page and click the Message Boards link in the upper-right hand corner, it tells me that "the server upgrade has been fixed, please continue to use quarterlifecrisis.com/forums" or something like that.

I guess that means the link still points to the temporary URL?

Don't worry Abby, I know people that run other sites and you'd be surprised how often it happens! We will be patient.... :bigger:

Honestly, I don't blame you for getting impatient. You know, this is the 3rd host I've tried and it's always the same story. They make such a good sales pitch and tell you sure, it's plenty of space, we'll maintain it for you, don't worry. Then they always try to blame you when it crashes, so you upgrade to a server with more space. There are no standards in this industry, they always take advantage of you. Oh, and then there's their infamous tech "support." They don't even let you speak to the "senior tech person" who actually knows what's going on and might be able to help you. It's really enough to drive a person insane. And I'm paying for this! I honestly don't think they care if they lose customers, and especially not if I do!

p.s. you know what i really love? when you get their frontline tech "support" on the phone who doesn't even speak english, and i need to spell out my domain name for them and it takes 10 minutes just for them to get to the site!

Thanks for going through all of this and thanks for putting up with this garbage just so we have a place and get a little sanity back in our day. You rock.

Sorry about the bad tech support :(

It can be very annoying & frustrating, but then you don't want to hang up on the person BECAUSE you were on hold for 20 minutes just to get to them in the first place!!

Anyways, I'm curious as to when you're going to allow new people to register again.
