Yes, that's right. I said it. I would rather endure hours of excruciating pain and exhaustion than spend one more day at this shitty desk, dealing with morons and wasting my life.
The word of the day is: burnout.

9.5 more weeks! And you will get your wish! ;)

What do you do?

*sigh*
I know.
But in the meantime I still have to drag my carcass out of bed at the crack of dawn every morning, drive an hour to work, sit mindlessly at my desk for 9 hours, drive an hour home, and get maybe a couple hours to relax before I have to go to bed so I can get up and do it all over again. I know I'm a short-timer now, but that's 9.5 weeks that I have to hate this place with the white-hot intensity of a thousand suns. Grrrrrrrr. I'm cranky. :madder:

I feel the same way and I'm not even pregnant so it's not an option. ;)

((Hugs Mid)). I know the feeling and have no excuse to not go into work like you do... I even went so far as to stay home today b/c I just couldn't bring myself to go in today.

Hang in there!
I'm sure you've probably posted this somewhere, so sorry if this is repeat -
but are you going back to work after the baby? Or are you going to take a good amount of time off?

I'm going back to work...just not HERE.
A) I will be insane inside a month if I come back, and B) the logistics of commuting as far as I do and dealing with daycare just aren't going to work out.
Thank God.

maybe you can work parttime somewhere when you do go back to work. is that an option?

That's the plan. I already have everything lined up. So really it's not an issue. I just gotta get out of HERE.

i personally would have to go with the work option, as science has yet to figure out a way for me to have a real choice on this issue.
based on what you have written it seems as if i would not want to apply for your job though (although i am not clear on what it is that you do).

What I do doesn't matter. Suffice it to say that I work in a soulless company with a succubus for a boss, a nitwit of an HR lady, backstabbing co-workers, a long commute every day, and after 3.5 years I'm ready to tear my hair out.

Some women have a baby just SO they don't have to go back to work.

Are you implying something with that comment?

Rolo has made it clearly known on these boards in the past that she HATES children...referring to them as "flesh loaves." From what I've observed, she can't bite her tongue about people's wishes to have children, and posts incindiary comments from time to time about people liking and wanting children.
Rolo, you don't come here often...and when you do, you say mean crap. Can you knock it off? Thanks.

Maybe those women prefer raising kids over coming to work. Nothing wrong with that. After all raising kids IS work!

I resent the insinuation that I'm having this child for no other reason than to get out of a 9-5 job. However, I've offered Rolo a chance to redeem him/herself by asking my original clairifying question: are you implying something with that comment?
If you don't have the balls to respond, then shut your goddamn mouth and don't ever speak to me again.

I don't know who you are, or what is up your ass, but I am sorry your life is so lame and pathetic that you are reduced to insulting a woman you don't even know on the Internet. Don't you have any real life people you can insult? Or are you just so socially inept and vile that people run screaming down the street rather than talk to you?
