So I've got a ton of respect for Dave Grohl since he's about the most underappreciated Rock legend around. I've heard their new song "The Best of You" and love it. Has anyone heard any of their new album other than this song? I'm looking for some reviews. Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

I haven't heard it yet, but have read great reviews.

I really, really like Dave Grohl. I think he's the bee's knees.

Love the song, hate the video. I'm sorry, but I don't need to see a supreme close up of Dave's mouth....it just isn't an attractive mouth.......

You know "them" was originally just Grohl, right? He played every instrument and recorded the Foo Fighters entire first album on his own. And it amazes me that most people don't realize he was the drummer for Nirvana.

:googly: I didn't realize this till last year  Yeah, Kirk thought I was a dumbass, but honestly I never really look at the drummers of bands........ :googly:

oh...okay...then Dave Grohl was really awesome on This is a Call. Thanks for enlightening us. I did know that he was in Nirvana. And Taylor Hawkins who now drums with "them" used to play with Alanis' backing band.

I've loved foo fighters ever since I first heard this is call on the radio before the official album release. I remember him as the drummer for Nirvana and Scream before that. He is definitely a great musician and drummer and their music has that sense of fun to it that is so infectious. I love most of the videos they have ever done but especially learning to fly. The new song is pretty good too :huge:

Hey, I picked up the album this weekend and listened to most of the first cd
on the way down I-81. "The Best of You" is so strong and I have not go tired
of playing it yet. Disc one is mainly harder rock and has some good songs like DOA and In your Honor. It is prob one of his strongest albums in that every song could prob be a single in my opinion. Lame ass Rolling Stone hated it, but I think they will be proven wrong when more people get to hear the single. Disc two is more acoustic and doesn't sound bad, but I have just done a quick run through it.
