36 hours. I was fasting for some kind of charity at church. I think I was 16 or 17

Yeah, but I'm not fasting, I'm just not hungry. It's pretty fucked up. Is there such a thing as a reverse tapeworm?

Once I tried to fast for 24 hours last October (that's another story). I lasted from 7 PM until about 2:20 pm the next day. I broke down and ate with my friends, who were in town, because I was starting to feel just a bit ill.

I think I've probably gone about 24 hours (not fasting) I ate lunch then skipped dinner for whatever reason, I rarely eat breakfast and I would eat again at lunch the next day

i got to day 3 of a juice fast before almost passing out.
i'd say probably 24 hours without eating anything at the very most.
After being hungry for awhile, your body will start digesting your own internal tissue. So, when the feeling of hunger goes away, that's because you already ate.

how do you make it 3 or 10 days fasting? did you have juices or anything?

It's not healthy to go very long without eating, even when fasting. During Ramadan, I understand Muslims only fast during the daylight hours. I do the same thing for Holy Week, and that's hard enough.

3 days. It was a side effect I experienced when I first started prozac.

When I was in HS I had some battles w/anorexia. Sad but true. I went probably 2 days without eating. I'd do it all the time. Once you skip one meal it gets easy to not eat later. A habit I try to avoid.
maybe 15-17 hours. Usually that was due to the ingestion of adderall or harder things that make you not want to eat.
It's been over a year though.

24 hours. I had breakfast the morning I was moving, spent the entire day packing and loading and transporting and unpacking. Stopped only a few times to drink some water. Collapsed into bed that night exhausted. Woke up the next morning, realized I hadn't eaten, but didn't have any food in my new place. By the time I got to the cafe, it was almost lunch time. I ate a few bites of a sandwich, was totally disgusted at the taste of any food, forced myself to eat some more, ended up in the ladies room puking.
If I go more than half a day without eating, my stomach feels funny and I lose my appetite. I really, really hate that. Because when I do eat, I feel even worse. I imagine that's how the mechanics of anorexia works, and I thank God I never had to suffer through that.
Now, even if I'm not particularly hungry, I still snack every few hours to keep everything working right.

I'd say around 15-16. I;ve eaten large dinners around 7pm, then went to bed prob aroun 2- then slept to about 12. That would explain the large time gap, however, this rarely happens.

Hmmm I really like food and get hungry all the time so usually I eat every 2-3 hours, snacking in between meals. As for the longest, I think I went a whole day without eating when I had a fever.

Yep, same here, and you're absolutely right that it's an easy habit to fall into. I've been recovered for about seven years, and I STILL have to watch myself. Losing weight is addicting to me, and it is damn hard NOT to fall back into that self-destructive pattern sometimes.

48 hours without food or water, our group was hiking in northern New Mexico. And we didn't bring any food and just a little water than went fast in the summer.

I went four days two weeks ago without eating. I was just real busy at work and then when I got home, nothing sounded good.

It happens a lot that I don't stop to eat lunch when I'm working...I get too busy, and either don't think of it, or don't make time. Since I rarely eat breakfast, that means that dinner is the only food I get sometimes. I've found myself doing one meal a day a lot. But I tend to always have at least that. Sometimes not. In any case, I'm a long way from starvation.
I've probably only gone for serious stretches with no food when I'm super sick.

I'd say 24 hours or so. But, I can't say for sure. Both times I had surgery I had to fast the day before but you were allowed to eat jello and a few other things. So, I don't know if that counts.
I have a VERY hard time if I don't eat at least every 6 hours. I get light headed, dizzy, and sick to my stomach.

About 27 or 28 hours. I fast once a year on Yom Kippur, so on that day I'm not eating (or drinking) for 24+ hours straight.

Not very long... I've always needed to eat every 3 hours or I get light-headed and REALLY irritable. I think my longest would be 12 hours before a blood test or medical thing.

I think the longest I've gone is 24 hours when sick and vomiting so I couldn't hold anything down anyway. Most recently it's just been 12 hours for some routine blood tests. I like food too much to go very long without. Plus I'm trying to do more of eating smaller and more frequent meals/snacks.

i've gone a couple of months now (without eating anyone :p )
seriously though, there was one time where i went about 2.5 days without eating (surprisingly enough this also coincided with being dumped) - otherwise i have gone may 24hrs or so when i was sick.......
