First Sandra Day O'Connor retires. Then Luther Vandross dies. What?!!! This was supposed to be a fun 4th of July weekend, not the time to mourn R&B singers and worry about whether my reproductive rights will be ripped away by a new Supreme Court Justice. What's next, another US outbreak of WEst Nile Virus, or another hole in the ozone layer discovered directly over LA?

Luther Vandross is dead!!! Does anybody know the details on this since I've haven't. Did this happen yesterday?!! I know he suffered a stroke & was making progress in his recovery. The last I heard of him was when he was on Oprah talking about the obstacles he faces & how he's coping. He was a great singer, I'm so shocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He was in a coma for the last two months; that's what I read in an article that I saw yesterday. Yeah, sad.

I didn't realize Luther Vandross was in a coma for 2 months!!! You would think you would hear it about that in the news or something. Still shocked that he's gone. Definitely sad to hear.
