What are peoples thoughts on Bushs speech last night?
Did it put you to sleep? Do you think he said the right things? Did he miss anything?

I thought it was interesting that he spent so much time addressing his comments to the Iraqi people and military. The very first thing he told them was not to blow up oil wells when an attack begins, because those wells are a source of wealth belonging to the Iraqi people. Very true. And while some could brush that off as more evidence that we are doing this to serve our Big Oil interests, I don't believe that, and he comment did make me think ... you can certainly see the Iraqi government immediately ordering those wells destroyed to hamstring the U.S. and other western nations, but what a sad day that would be for Iraqis, who then would have very little to offer for sale. ... or will the people WANT to blow them up just because Bush told them not to? I don't know.

He also pointed out that if they kill or do things *because they were ordered to* it will not stand as a defense.

Knowing Saddam he didnt let any of the words Bush said to the Iraqi people get through...because thats what Saddam does best..but who knows...Ive heard some got through but I dont know if I believe it.

Why the hell was the presidential flag BLACK??? the flag that was to his right was black. This flag has, up until this point, been a dark blue. It bears the Presidential Seal. Looks very fascist to me. also, the flag was displayed in such a way as to show the 13 arrows held in the eagle's talons.
