I swear... how long does it take to make a freakin desicion. I'm totally stressed. I know that if I don't get this job it is for a reason, etc, but I just really want to work there..... They said by the end of the week. So... I have another 2 days, and there is the possiblility that they weill lag even longer after that. I hate job hunting and think I would much prefer to just light myself on fire in the future or poke myself in the eye with a sharp stick than continue to go through this furstration

Waiting stinks.

Keep yourself busy! Watched pot never boils and all that. Try to fill the waiting time with activity, and it'll go by much faster.

When a company makes a decision like that they always wait till the last day to notify you, whether you got it or not.

notwithoutmycat's got it right. Once I send in my info/etc, I just forget about it. All the waiting would drive me nuts, so I keep it out of mind. Now IF I get a call back, hey, very cool...otherwise, just keep on truckin

Still... nothing. I feel like I should call and follow up, but I'm scared. And also a little hungover. So I think that maybe after a solid lunch, I will be properly braced. B/c really.... I think that if they were planning to offer me the job, they would've called my references. Since that is not the case, I've mostly pre-accepted the inevitable.

The good news is that there is another firm interested in me. Plan B anyone?
