I'm looking for a new perfume. I like a light perfume smell. I liked Beyond Paradise.
Which perfumes do you like for women?

I like "White Musk" by the Body Shop; I also sometimes use Bath and Body Works' "Coconut Lime Verbena" body spray

I've worn Gap's Heaven for YEARS. I love it, so light and fresh. For "dress up" I wear J'Adore by Christian Dior.

I don't like strong perfumes. Honestly, all I really wear are the different body sprays from Bath & Body Works. My mood changes daily regarding what scent I feel like wearing, and these are all nice smelling and good on the pocketbook. Hmmmmmmmmm, I haven't hit this store in awhile, I think it is high time I do again ;).

I used to wear ALIVE by AE - then those bastards stopped making it. Gr.
I tried Be Delicious by DKNY, but it gives me headaches after like 20 minutes. I guess there's something in the lower notes that just doesn't agree with me.
I did get to sample Victoria Secret's Be Sexy last night - not the guys' (although that is some tasty stuff! ), but the dark red one for women. I sort of like it - I'd have to get around the fact that it's from Victoria's Secret. :(
Mostly, I just wear body spray; today's it mango mandarin. Mmmm...

blueyes, why don't you like VS?
Most of what I wear is from Bath and Body (I get the most compliments on Moonlight Path) and Victoria's Secret. I LOVE Amazing Grace by Philosophy.....sadly, I just ran out. :(
CK Obsession is good stuff as well, but a little strong.

Shim -
Go to Ross Park Mall (the hell that it is) and go into the new VS. It's ridiculous. They spent months remodelling and it is roughly the site of my sister's 2 bedroom, 2 floor apartment. No. Shit. There's an entire section (think separate walls/etc) for the body/bath stuff alone. The Italian collection has it's own permanent area.
It is ridiculous. Although I did see some damn sexy lingerie in there yesterday...

Nope - sometimes I absolutely loathe that place. I've never actually purchased a damn thing from there - I get tons of it as presents though.

I wear Chanel Gardenia, but I also LOVE Chanel Chance and all the Banana Republic perfumes. I switch it up in the seasons sometimes, and wear heavier perfumes if I'm going out at night.

Yeah I stopped buying stuff there in early college. It just gets too old and the scents don't stay on me--and I really don't like them. Plus, they con you into buying a bunch of shit with their 3 for 20 sales. It's fine for the kiddos, but in my opinion, I'm an adult so why not wear "real" perfume?
Oh and when people give it to me as gifts, I give it to the social worker at the school my mom works at and she gives it to the poor girls who could use a little gift as a pick me up (or for the girls who have hygiene issues).

I don't like Bath & Body Works either. An old college roommate used to spray herself all over with it and she just smelled like a bad fruit basket. I think you get what you pay for on perfume.
For years now I have used a scent I found in Ireland called Inis. It's actually unisex, but works well for girls. Unfortunately I hear from my family in Ireland that it has been discontinued :(. I do have some bottles stocked up from my last trip though. I saw Island by Michael Kors and liked it for summer.
Sephora is also a great place to check out perfumes if you're looking for a new one because they have a whole wall filled with just about every one there is. The last time I went the closest one to replace Inis was Marc by Marc Jacobs.

I don't really care if the scents I wear are "real" perfumes or not...I just like how they smell. I'm not into the fruity scents at all. I had some eucalyptus spearmint lotion that I used to wear, but the guy I was dating at the time said that I smelled like Crest toothpaste. (He was right  )

My favorite perfume was something I picked up from England. It was nice and light and fruity from Miss Selfridge called Shimo by Monsoon. I still have the bottle!
Anyways- I used Pure light by Alfred Sung for the longest time, and then I used Metro by BCBG Max, and now I am using Ralph by Ralph Lauren. They are all nice and light and fruity. I am not too fond of Musk.

Has anyone ever tried anything from Anthropologie? Any luck there?
I was there on Sunday and they had this perfume called Lemon Sugar - it started out very awesome, but got all sharp and citrus-y towards the end of the day.

Dolce and Gabbana (i don't know how to spell it) has a scent called Light Blue and it's wonderful. If you like really light scents, you'll love it. I don't really like heavy perfumes. It's a little pricey, though.

They are probably too busy enjoying the smell of their own farts to smell your perfume. Some of my guy friends fart around me and talk locker room talk as if to forget I am more than a smaller prettier friend with bitch tits. Sigh.... Ok actually some of them do remember. A girl just need to be reminded once in a while you know. I AM A PRINCESS. :huge: :p (So are you!!)
I like Contradiction by Calvin Klien and several other perfumes by Elizabeth Arden. As for perfumes that smell like food items, weird! Save it for the scented candle collection for BJs boudiour (?).

I like Hugo Boss for women, gardenia from bath and body works, I actually like some of the flower scents they make, the fruit ones seem to smell rotten after awhile. I also like cool water and there is something else one of my guy friends wears. He won't give up the name of it. he says he wants the girls to remember him when they smell it, not go out and buy it for thier bf. I loved it when he would take a nap on the couch. The pillows would smell like him afterwards.

I wear Bijan, which is kind of a more exotic, spicy scent. I looked it up and the notes are sandalwood, oak moss, and orange blossom, apparently. I never thought I would like a darker, heavier, or more womanly scent...I used to only wear more light, crisp stuff. But it just smells good on me.

I have issues with Polo Sport as well - I used to smell of it for the whole next day (and yes, I do shower), the smell just clings to you.
My faves in the fresh league are anything green tea, like El. Arden, Bvlgari, L'Occitane on the expensive side or there is a lot of more affordable ones usually available. eBay might be worth checking out as well.
