My boyfriend and I are planning to take a vacation somewhere next year.

Isla Holbox, Mexico with my bf a few months ago
Cancun
Grand Cayman
Jamaica
A couple cruises

what time of year are you planning a vacation?

I think it will end up being in May or August because I will be in school. Maybe around 5 days. I don't know where to go. So many choices.

if it is for 5 days, i would suggest something within a 3-4 hour flight. that way you don't waste your entire vacation on route. what area of the country are you ion?

Central US. We thought about going somewhere within driving distance like San Antonio.

MollyMe - I really liked going hiking in Glacier Park (Montana). You could easily do that with a total vacation time of 5 days. I also like to go mountain biking/hiking/camping in Colorado - you can drive there in a day and stay at campsites, or the "summerized" ski resorts like Breckenridge or Copper Mountain.

not for your situation but hawaii (maui) was there for 3 weeks last month.

Hawaii is SUCH a long trip though. My BF and I went to Nassau (Atlantis) over Memorial Day weekend, and while it was really cool to see it, it was actually pretty boring. Too touristy for me. I went to Jamaica with a bunch of friends and stayed at an all-inclusive resort and had a blast for SUPER cheap. It was in Sept. a couple years ago (hurricane season though). What about Vegas? New York?

e- this sounds like a awsome vacation........i would love to go biking in durango. - sigh one day hopefully.

My boyfriend and I love to travel. We've gone to France, Spain, Mexico, Lake Tahoe, San Francisco...

But, our favorite vacation was to Cabo San Lucas. It is somewhat close (to CA), flights are inexpensive and it has a bit of everything (beautiful beaches, good nightlife, tons of activities but is also super relaxing if you pick the right area).
