I have contact lens but I haven't been using them a while. Yesterday since I broke my glasses at this concert, I realized how important it is to NOT wear glasses when going to a mosh pit. Anywhow, it's been a while, like I said since wearing my contacts. The prescription is still good and I'm wearing them right now. How can I tell if if I'm putting them on right, though? I feel like I'm putting one in my eye inverted. A friend long time ago, told me that I should look at the shape of the contact lens on your finger before I put them in. What exactly is that shape supposed to look like? Please help.

Before you put it in and have it on your finger, look at it closely. It should be shaped like a bowl. If the outer edges are flaring out at all, it's inverted, turn it inside out. And you'll generally know when you put it in cause it feels weird.

You would know if it was in wrong because it would be sliding all over your eyeball!!

i use this little trick - put the lenson your fingertip and gentley curl the otehr edges together. It is curls up nice and even it is then oriented correctly and ready to be inserted.

if your lens is inside out, it will feel like you have an eyelash stuck in your eye....

what is the kind of liquid/fluid that people eye drop into their eyes? That helps in terms of what with contact lens? Keep them moisturized or what? And what is the best brand to get?

i like the bosch and lomb, however i have also used no name stuff from walmart.

before you start using that stuff you should check with your optometrist.

i have also found that with disposable contacts i don't need that stuff as much.

I used to use B and L BUT then I looked at my stores cheap brand and they had the same manufactured at location. I know for a fact that ALOT of manufacters of name brands ALSO make the cheap brand. The only difference is how it's packed. How do I know this ? I used to handle WC and auto claims and have been in alot of these places and they told me. my point? it's all basically the same. buy a cheap brand.
