Alright I’m going to take some time out and tell you all how AWESOME my day has been. Today started off like any other normal day I wake up at 6:45am leave the house around 7:10 and arrive at work around 7:45-8am. When I get to work I do my normal crap like do a tape backup of the system and check stats and such. Then I check email and fix any problem that someone had with there computer/anything else electronic b/c I guess I am supposed to know how to do that…

Anyway this is where it gets good. Well let me back up, my company has been looking for a receptionist for about a month. They had a candidate but it didn’t work out, so they tried again and can’t seem to agree on a new candidate.

Well I have been saying to my co-workers that it would be awesome if they would let me do the interviewing/hiring and everybody was like “you’ll just hire the hottest chick in the shortest skirt”. I was like “nah nah I wouldn’t do that” *cough* bullshit hell yeah that’s what I would do. Well back to the story so I come in to work and start joking with my boss (coolest lady in the world) and start telling her that maybe I could take over the search for a new receptionist and she was like explain why you would be good.

So I run down a few of my criteria and other reasons why I would be good at doing this along with the fact that it could be considered “professional development” and she was like “ok you got it”!

My jaw damn near hit the floor. I couldn’t believe it; I’m so excited I am a damn IT guy getting to pick the prospective receptionist. This is the coolest thing ever.

So anyway that’s my day so far…updates are sure to come.

P.S. Brittney Spears, Jessica Alba, Jessica Simpson, …if you need a job holla at me!

I don't know whether to be happy for you, or be disgusted at the blatant objectification of women. I guess women do have a lot further to go in terms of equality in the workplace...

i wouldn't even think of hiring someone based on something so superficial as there looks or body type, i am truly insulted that Bruiser would have the audacity to insinuate such a rude and vulgar blow to my character. Btw Bruiser I truly hope your not blatantly disgusted…
