Hello again. Well I must say I'm def. at a turning point in my life. Just when I think that I have a certain path picked out (working at UPS and waiting for management-driving), I get a call that I have a phone interview for a job that I applied for about 500 miles away from here. So I'm going to do the phone interview and take the formal interview, if i get the chance.
The thing is that I will have just started at UPS, I worked there for 2 years I then quit when I graduated because I wanted to use my degree, nothing happens so I'm back with UPS at a different location. They don't rehire people 95% of the time, but I'm def. a hard worker, more than most people could imagine. I get this job easily. It is only $9.00 hr starting out, but there is def. room for promotion especially since I have my degree and possible thoughts of MBA. I expect if I was to work at UPS I would work there for a year possilby two and be making descent money. Or I take this job, if I get it, I'm certain I have a really good shot like 80% of landing this job, and start out in the lower 40's with room up to 100k+ a year in a 10-15 year period.
I know I don't even have this job, and its just a phone interview. I'm just speculating on the future and really stressed. What if I get this job and take it and bomb. What if I don't take it and don't do shit with UPS. I mean job security is nice and with UPS I have that, but shitty pay. If I was to take that job and just quit UPS, there isn't a slight possiblity of me ever getting a job with UPS because I F-D them bad. I also know I can't live off of "what if's"
To get rehired at UPS you have to have 3 "ok's" one from HR at pervious hub, one from your supervisor, and one from GM at that hub. This is what I have heard.
I guess that I will just take it one step at a time, but shit. I have to first be offered the job, but I have a good feeling about this position. By the way it is a merchandising position with a large global company. There are so many pros and cons that I'm just so undecided.
This is just another one of my rants. I just feel like whatever decision I make will be the wrong one. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Like always QLC ladies keep looking fine in your own creative way!!!! One thing I do know, Is that I love women!!!!!!! The One=Happiness, I'm still trying to find that ONE. Screw Money and everything else, without her I will never be happy.
I have had a few drinks at happy hour also, it is probably long and doesn't make sense, but I'm not going to reread it~~
