Lunch Date

Sorry if this has been posted about in the past, but....

How does everyone feel about Lunch Dates? Say you meet someone and find out they work close to you and decided to have lunch during the work day, to get to know each other. Do you like these better than evening normal dates?

My opinion:

I personally do not like them, because it leaves too little time for someone to get to know you. It takes me a little bit to open up with people, so the first 30 minutes of any date is usually a little awkward for me. That leaves very little time to actually get into the dating part of it. I have never been successful with these.

Anyone have advice on how to make them better or a good experience with them?

I like them b/c, if they're terrible, there is a built in excuse. If they're not, you make plans to meet up again before you leave. I've had several lunch dates that were great, so we decided to meet up for drinks after work or dinner or something else that night or the next day.

i would agree with met.

i don't think you need to bare your soul to her, however you should be able to determine if there is any type of chemistry there or not.
