I would definately say my cell-phone. It's like 3 or 4 years old at least, basic AT&T Nokia model. I never bought a new one because I was always given cell phones for work. I feel like people look at me funny when I use it.
I also think I am one of the only people left who doesn't have an IPod or a digital camera.

hahahahahahah! this is my kind of thread. I own NOTHING up to date.
I own:
-a more than decade old car with no amenities (even a cassette player)
-a really cheap film camera (though I use thousand dollar digitals at work)
-no computer (though I use thousand dollar iMacs at work)
-an off-brand portable CD player
-no cell phone (but keep a prepaid phone for roadside emergencies...it's never on...and it's 4-5 years old and the basic Nokia model, not a flipphone)
-no caller ID
-no voice mail (just an answering machine)
-an old-ass tiny RCA stereo
-the cheapest DVD player known to man, which I got less than 3 years ago
-a VCR that's so cheap it has no digital display
-no cable TV or satellite.
-no PDA
I'm practically Amish, I know.

But funnily enough, you're the first one in 4 years to pick up on that.

But I also have the perk of getting to use my work computer as my personal computer.

Yeah, I hear ya. I do have cable, but it's really, REALLY basic. And I also have a laptop, but that's because my work gave it to me, and I only have dial-up Internet. My cell is a POS, I have a boom box that I got down the street at a pawn shop for $8, and I have a Hello Kitty portable CD player. :)
Had I invested in technology, I wouldn't have all those nice handbags. ;)

I finally updated my cell phone when I moved out here. It was one of those bulky Nokia ones from AT&T.
My car is a little out-dated - 1993 Toyota Corolla - though it runs well. It has a tape deck, but I don't think I own any more tapes.
I bought a new computer just last year after having one for six years (five of those years it was out-of-date!).
I don't have an iPod or PDA.
I just bought a digital camera, but technically I don't own it yet until I pay off my BestBuy card.
I still have an answering machine, but at least its tapeless.
I have one corded, land-line phone in my home - but it has caller-ID.
I have a boom box with a tape player and one CD player, not a multi CD player one.
My sofa looks like it belongs in the 80s, but it was free. I just threw away the sofa cover because that was getting old, too.

Oh, yeah...95% of my furniture is thrift store-auction-hand me downs. I bought a new mattress, and that and my kitchen table and chairs are about all that's firsthand.
My microwave has a dial...no buttons or digital timer or programability. Just a dial to set the minutes.
I DO, however, have a programmable coffee pot and an espresso-cappucino maker. It's good to have priorities. :D
And, Smiles, my car is a '93, too.

I want to see someone top ME here:
I don't own a cell phone.
I don't have a DVD player.
I've own my micorwave since I was 18.

Oh! And I have a 20 inch TV from 1995.

Just about all my furniture is second hand, garage sale, salvation army store, cheap ass discount store brand junk. Oh and don't forget Target and good ol Walmart quality crap. The only thing we bought nice is the queen bed and the sofa and love seat in the family room. Paid cold cash for them last year. I have to say though... for someone who's as cheap as I am... I'm not so out of date. Cell phone-new, Car-2004, camera-digital (but I tell ya I wanted a fancy SLR camera and a dark room in my house). Though I wouldn't own a DVD player if it weren't for my hubby being a videophile. I guess my TV is kinda old... not of that flat screen newfangledness or anything... The crappy Saturn is a '97 (it died this week, dammit!!). And the computer is 2001. I guess that's kinda old by technology standards. The computer screen is flat but it has a yellow line running down it like 2/3rds over from the left. That's annoying.

I have a microwave that's supposedly somewhat new, but the LCD display is broken so when I enter a time, I can't tell how much time is left. It was a former co-worker's and he needed to sell it, I needed one when I moved out here.
My rice cooker is a little out of date too. :p

No iPod.
No DVD player (well...I have one but never learned how to use it/it is defective)
Until 2 years ago my VCR was the same I've had since 1988. The TV is at least 17 years old...maybe more.
Car is 11 years old.
Most recent video game system I own is a Playstation from '97.
Computer is 4 yrs old.
Old stuff is fine...as long as it works, right?

I do have an clothing iron that Has got to be at least 20 years old.
LOL - Me too! It's that nice 70's olive green. Everyone makes fun of me for it.
I have almost nothing! If it wasn't for my roomate I wouldn't even have a phone.
I own:
A tv/vcr combo (16 inches, maybe) from about 1996
laptop from 2000, maybe 2001 - from when I was in school. (The cable on it is broken though and so now it doesn't work ....)
a tiny travel sized hairdryer I got about 6 years ago (and my hair is long. Just cut off 7 inches and it's still way past my shoulders)
I have no furniture past a desk, a bed, a few dressers, and some bookshelves. The only things I do have are a video camera and a digital camera.

I don't own an iPod or a PDA either...and I don't think I ever want to!
Although, we do have high-speed internet access and a wireless network set up in our apartment so we can surf the web from anywhere (I once put the laptop on the floor beside my bed at night, set the alarm to 5 AM, woke up to bid on an e-bay auction and make sure I won the item, and went back to sleep all without getting out of bed. Technology's great!)
Furniture-wise we are so cheap - my opinion is that we don't need to spend any money on new furniture until we have a house to put it in, so for now we are living on free hand-me downs from the early 1970s (basically my parents' castoffs from the early years of their marriage) plus other free furniture we have managed to pick up from acquaintances who were buying new stuff. Our apartment decor is ghetto-fabulous. :)
Up until a little while ago we were driving two cars more than ten years old - my husband has a 1991 Ford Ranger that is still going strong, and I had a 93 Honda Accord but this high-schooler decided to pull out of a parking lot without looking and ran into me, totaling my car (which was in absolutely pristine condition despite being so old, I was so pissed at that girl), so had to buy a "new" car - a used 2002 Maxima.

Oh, I forgot my super-cool kitchen hand-me-downs from my mom. She gave me Corningware stuff from circa 1970, and it's all that avocado green color, with green and brown flowers on the lids. The funny thing is, I actually use that stuff MORE than I use our pretty new white Corningware that we got as a wedding gift because it's always exactly the right size I need.
I used to have Mom's old blender, too - it was "harvest gold"-colored and super-cool looking, but it started to smell funny if you used it for too long at a time so I gave it to Goodwill when we got married and we bought a new one.

Hmm... well, technically it's not mine but...

Hang on I just remembered- when we moved to our current house we got a corner (70s style diner) dinette with the kitchen- I guess the previous owner didnt want it (no shit). The kitchen was a glossy pink color too which has now been painted with an olive green eggshell enamel. But my parents WILL NOT get rid of it. They upholstered the chairs of the dinette. Some of my friends think its tacky - some think it adds character. I think its old and they need to get RID OF IT! :D

Most of the furniture in my apartment is old as shit. I've had all my bedroom furniture since I was four; I've had my little day bed since I was 12. I have a beautiful old bookcase that belonged to my ex-best friend's grandma. After we had a major falling-out, she tried to get it back, but I wouldn't give it to her! Sucker.
Oh, and I live in a building built in 1789.

Okay, I still live at home, but this stuff might count...it might also be indicative of my mom's serious antique habit. :torn:
1. The kitchen table - it's a drop-leaf table that threatens to drop if you move it too much. It's probably 75 yrs or so...it came from a step-great grandfather's moving business, who said it came from a farmhouse...?!
2. Chairs associated with the kitchen table - they're wooden, at LEAST 75 years old, and they fall apart without warning. No, really. One collapsed with me in it this spring. My sister claims it was 'the most hysterical thing ever.' And they are all different - not ONE of them matches any of the others.
3. An old-school 'refrigerator' - it's essentially a metal box with insulation around it that's been framed in wood. Mom has converted it into phone book/pen storage. And yes, that is a LOT of phone books and pens (she throws NOTHING out. EVER.)
4. A 75+ yr old vanity/wash stand/cabinet - this holds all the pens that the 'refrigerator' can't. Seriously. Wait. There's a second one upstairs in my parents' bedroom. I think that one has sweaters.
5. An armoire - it's easily 100+ years. It comes apart for 'easy moving and storage'; this means it can fall apart at a moment's notice. Which happened last holiday season when my mom took a sweater out and all the shelves flew out too.
6. My parents' mantle over the fireplace in their bedroom (which they do NOT use) is reportedly from the 1880s; Mom stripped it herself after picking it up for a song (< $250 in middle-of-nowhere Ohio).
7. Mom has also acquired at least two old-ass mirrors. They haven't started un-silvering yet...but we're sure it's just a matter of time.
8. A giant coat rack/mirror in the front hall. Old as hell. The mirror's due to fall off any day now, but Mom won't get it fixed b/c it was her mom's.
9. A miscellaneous carved half-circle end table. We have no idea where it came from, and she doesn't know either.

Ok, so reading this I realize i'm a techie geek :p.
However my kitchen is hand me downs from my father's GF. All stuff SHE bought out of college. The table was a trestle table from the 70's that had benches but i've since replaced with chairs. The table is more of a mail holder than anything else though, but hey it was free! I also have quite a bit of kitchenware from when my parents married. For some reason Mom didn't want the stuff :D

I'm usually on the cutting edge, but my friends have recently been giving me hell about my television. This is because even though I can afford a 60-inch plasma HDTV, I refuse to buy one. They're just jealous because all their new fancy televisions don't look any better than my good old 35" Toshiba Cinema Series tube. Until there is more HD content, I just don't see the point in spending that kind of money. Especially when I consider that once there is more HD content, the prices will have come way down from where they are today.
Previously they bitched about my mobile phone. Had a Sprint PCS Nokia 6185 circa 1998. No text messaging, no camera, no color screen... But I could not destroy it. It even survived a tumble down the face of an 800+ foot limestone cliff. While not killing it, that tumble did crack the screen which impaired its moisture resistance. At that point it was just a matter of time, and finally a pitcher of beer got thrown on me in a bar fight. The next week I had a Windows Mobile SmartPhone, so the friends don't bitch about the phone anymore.

I am like Sheryl Crow in that song "Soak of the Sun"...I don't have digital, I don't have diddly squat:
My 2 year old cell phone was a freebie when I signed up for a plan. Needless to say, it was about 3 years behind the times when I got it. And now, most of the time, the display doesn't work, and I have to push down on the screen to see what I'm typing in. I should get a new phone (especially since my phone's area code is 850 whereas I am in 860), but I'm too lazy to tell the world that my number is changing.
My car is fairly new (03), but I didn't get a CD player...I was going to have one installed for cheaper, but I never got around to it. I don't think it will ever be installed
Until a couple of weeks ago, my computer was a 1995 model which takes an hour to load (although I haven't used it in years).
My 11 year old TV is shot, and I don't have a DVD player OR a VCR.
I want more gadgets, but unfortunately, my salary doesn't really allow for it...oh well....guess I can't live the Gen-'Y' lifestyle.

My parents' stuff is all antique, too, blueyes...they renovated their entire house when they were first married and gutting it and redoing it with antique fixtures out of old houses that were being torn down. All their stuff is beautiful and in awesome shape, though. I'm also far more interested in old things than new. Cutting-edge holds virtually no appeal for me in most areas.
