OK, so you all have probably seen my stupid-ass-driver rants but I just saw something that totally takes the cake:

A jeep wrangler squeezed into a spot so tight that it's front bumper is on top of the car bumper in front of it, and his back bumper is on top of the front bumper of the car behind him. Parking is not that bad in my neighborhood. There are spots, you just may need to walk a few blocks......... I am normally not a hostile person, but I swear, if that was my freakin' car he did that too, I probably would have keyed his door in the night, hell even in the day, without hesitation. Assholes! I just don't understand why no one has any respectanymore. That is what it comes down to. People just lack common human courtesy and decency. What kinds of similar situations (doesn't have to be driving) do you guys witness on a regular basis? This can't be only a NYC phenomenon...........

Not so much a lack of human courtesy story, but I sympathize about the bad NYC drivers.

When I was younger, my folks and I used to live in New Jersey and would periodically come into the city to go to museum exhibits, etc. Well, one weekend we were in the city for one of these, and on our way home, we were stopped at a light behind a cab. The cab driver pulls up ONTO THE SIDEWALK to make a turn, nearly knocking over and killing a hot dog vendor. I mean, come on people, does anyone need to be in that much of a hurry to make a turn?

On more of a courtesy note, as you know, we went through about 8 million hoops to get the lease to this apartment. Well, a couple weeks ago, we finally got approved, and when I called this woman at the management company to ask whether we'd gotten approved, she said, "Sure, why not? I'm in a good mood today." Sheesh!

I'm still trying to figure how that's physically possible...

Jwaler, I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the SUV is only half to blame. The SUV may have parked on top of one of the bumpers and the other car came in after them and parked under their bumper. That's the only I see it happening. Unless both cars parked after the SUV. Anyways screw the SUV. I nearly ran one off the the road as I merged onto the highway during a rainstorm the other day. When did headlights becaome optional when its raining? Couldn't see her at all, effin sea-donkey.

I have to say, though, that on average, I have mad respect for Syracuse drivers. They know how to drive in the snow and I miss that... People here DO NOT. They freak out and it's so annoying...

No, it is the Jeep's fault because he was sitting all diagonal-ish, and not straight at all. People are assholes when it comes to parallel parking in my neighborhood. I posted an entry about a week ago about someone in my neighborhood. It is under the stupid-ass driver's thread.

I see now, they weren't excatly parked perfectly, 1 foot from the curb and parallel. I was picturing the Austin Powers trying a K-turn in the hallway with his golf cart.
