Post away links to things that you want/need...........I was thinking of starting a "What I want for Xmas" thread, but not all of us celebrate, so this will have to do..........

I'm actually torn this year between asking for what I WANT versus asking for what I NEED.:

Want: IPOD
Need: Size 8 clothing.

A TV stand or TV armoire (comparing one from Best Buy for $99, will be almost $200 with delivery and paying someone to set up, with one from Target for $249, not including delivery or hiring someone from Craigslist to put it together).

A nicer futon, in hardwood ($500-$700)

A better rug for the bedroom ($200-$300)

Curtains for the living room ($90 for 4 panels, not counting curtain rods to put them up)

Need:

A new suit for court in case the attorney I work for goes on trial ($200-$300)

A couple of new dress shirts ($140 or so)

I would like a Taylor Made R7 Quad driver (some new irons would also be really sweet).

$850 for a large screen - I am assuming that is a projection TV - I'd recommend going for broke and getting a DLP Proj or an LCD (much better picture)

My mom has already started asking and I never know what to tell her!

Things I need:
- winter clothes (I lost about 20 lb. earlier this year and I am now discovering that all my winter clothes from last year fit me really funny)
- a queen-sized blanket for our guest-room bed

Things I want:
- a Nikon D70 digital SLR (already have two lenses from my old Nikon 35mm SLR that are compatible, which cuts the cost down a couple hundred dollars).
- new lamps for our living room - the ones we have on our end tables now are circa 1970 and not quite my style (although of course they still work just fine).

Things I really want but that are totally unreasonable to ask for:
- a house
- a piano
- new living room furniture

I asked for some Amy Brown prints, I really like her work. UPS dropped them off last week, but I don't know if I'll be opening them on Christmas or on my birthday.

- gift certificates for Chapters and various clothing stores (I can't ask for specific clothes, because my mom thinks that baggy is in style and always buys them two sizes too big :rolleyes: ).

I want to get another winter jacket. I realized that all of the winter coats I own are pea-coat style. I want something like a puffy down jacket, that is a little more sporty. I also think I am going to hit up the Gap. I see they have lotsa fleece-lined hats in cute colors. I want a pink one!! Well, the darker pink color, that is.........
