Hey Folks --

I graduated from college ~1.5 years ago and would like to reach out to someone which whom I?ve not spoken to since graduation.

More Specific Details:
The person in question became quite withdrawn between the last year?s Spring Break and graduation for reasons mysterious to literally everyone. This resulted in at least all the skool-related relationships connected to this person being put On Hiatus and//or Blown To The Four Winds.

I?m hoping and betting that whatever caused this person to become so withdrawn has at the very least progressed during the last 1.5 years since graduation. Progressed to becoming resolved, progressed to something worse, whatever; just that it has changed from just not communicating with anybody.

I have no idea if this person wishes to reconnect with anybody from their past let alone myself in particular, but I?d like to attempt to reach out anyways.

A good question would be, ?What was your relationship to this person prior to whatever happened?? A decent answer would be ?Budding Romantic Interest?.

The logical follow-up question would be, ?...And your intentions for reaching out now??
Believe me when I say, ?A simple hailing?. How are they, what?s going on, are they still alive, have they set foot on Mars and cured cancer on behalf of a for-profit foreign government, how's the price of tea in China, that type of thing.

Of the various ways I could contact them, I?m favoring an email over, say, a creepy phone call or a letter that Marty McFly would call ?Heavy?.

My Question:
Has anyone had experiences of reaching out to people ? whatever the long-ago relationship was ? with whom they have not spoken for some time? I?d like to know how you went about reaching out and what happened if it wouldn't be too personal.

Thank you much.

Be Seeing You.

I've been both the person who was looked up by a long-lost acquaintance, and the person who did the lookingup. It's cool. Just keep it light.
