If the average person knew how horrible the welfare system is and what their hard earned money is going to, there would be riots in the streets. People assume that the system is helping people and doing them good. I would love to hear these people give me an example of how the system has helped a person achieve self-sufficiency. Because I can counter with a 100 examples of a person using the system. I want to start a movement that unveils the flaws in the system so that the average person can see where their tax money is going to! Anyone know how I can go about starting this movement?

I'm reading a book now called "The Road to Hell". It's similar what is mentioned about welfare except it deals with foreign aid. We sit at home and watch the video of the poor starving refugee and feel compelled to help. but in reality our aid is hurting these people. Funneling money and power into fewer hands in their countries. Food is used as a weapon everywhere, but our arrogance an self righteousness make our relief food into an even deadlier weapon. It doesn't improve the life of the recipient since all time is spent obtaining aid, rather than going back to a former lifestyle.

People like welfare because it sounds like a warm and fuzzy thing to do. Like recycling. "Hey we take care of our poor. Now I can sleep at night." As long as civilization continues this problem of poverty and starvation will continue. And it isn't due to a drought or food shortage, its due to people being rotten to eachother. And why ask them to change their ways? No body watches out for them so why should they watch out for other people. Watch out for number one. This whole myth of "making it on your own" has got to go. Humans aren't rogues. They survive in a tight groups. We keep trying to go against our nature by become "civilized". You restrict your nature and you get problems we have today. Welfare is a symptom, over crowded prisons is a symptom, rampant depression and hopelessness is a symptom. You can try to treat each symptom, bringing up other symptoms. Or you can treat the disease. Cut off its balls, lay it to waste and let it burn. Civilization is an experiment that has a 100% track record of failure. So why do we cling to it like its manna from heaven. Find a tribe and take care of your own.
