Well, I'm sitting here a bit depressed because almost everyone I know has been invited to a Christmas party tonite, and I'm sitting at home alone on a Saturday night, again.
Anyone else not invited to any Christmas parties? I guess I just want to confirm I'm not a pathetic loser.

Same here. I don't know many people in my city, and the few that I know well enough to hang out with socially are all out at some Christmas party or another. My work party is next week, but that doesn't make me feel better while I'm bored out of my skull on another Saturday night. :(

I'm not...never have been invited to any, really, except for one holiday party with one of the companies I used to work for...

It's been my experience that Christmas parties tend to be exceedingly tedious, last far too long, and force you to socialize with a group of people that you normally wouldn't spit on if their ass was on fire.
Then again, most the Christmas parties I've been to were work related. Since I tend to harbor a general feeling of ill will and low grade hostility toward most the people I've worked with, it stands to reason that the Christmas parties would suck donkey balls.

Allison's working this weekend, so she's not here. :( I've been celebrating the weekend before Christmas by reviewing the Maryland Rules of Civil Procedure and Family Law.

I SKIPPED my office party during the week IN FAVOR of work. Thats b/c the majority of my coworkers are either boring, phony, or annoying. And those are the ones I LIKE.

Well I think it's even worse when you try to throw a Christmas party and everyone is too busy... Bah humbug!

I found out at my company Christmas party that there was an engagement party... everyone in the office was invited, except for me.
Not that I care b/c she's a psycho bitch anyway (that I hooked up with  ) Which is probably why i wasn't invited.
as for tonight, I"m suppose to go out later... we'll see if that actually happens.

I don't even know anyone who's having a Christmas party. There was a work party in the office on Thursday, but I couldn't get there because of bad weather. But it wouldn't be worth the effort to drive 30 miles even in good weather. The food last year was sub-par, and there was no alcohol. Fuck that. Not that I could drink if I was driving anyway.
I may go out later.

Sounds like a plan. You know the saying...whenever you think you've got it bad, there's always someone worse off!!!

I went to a Christmas party last weekend. It was okay, but I didn't know the majority of the people there, and we got stuck playing all these "educational games". I would have much rather talked and gotten to know people, but whatever. I bailed on a Christmas party last night because no one I knew was planning to go, and it was in Hoboken, and I just didn't feel like dealing with the commute to get there. Plus, the hostess, who I do know, she's nice, but she is always rip-roaring drunk in the beginning of the party so I can't really talk to her either. So needless to say, I stayed in last night and fell asleep quite early.
