Here's the story:
My roommate of over two years told me last month that she's moving back to her parents' house because she got herself in some financial trouble. Basically, she just spent more money than she made. Anyway, that leaves me without a roommate.
I work in Orange County and I really like my job. I don't see myself working for any other company right now. Anyway, I would really love to live by myself, but the cost of living in Orange County is ridiculous!! I do have enough money saved and make enough to afford to live in this two bedroom apartment, but I prefer not to and I'd rather save as much as possible towards paying off my student loans and saving for a place of my own. I've even placed an ad in the paper and on two online sites for roommate search. I've interviewed a few people yet the only one I really felt comfortable with took another place closer to her work. I never had to deal with finding a roommate. It was either through school or I knew someone that I could live with. I don't want to settle for a roommate either, which is why I am willing to pay next month's rent on my own and continue to search for a compatible roommate. I'm not looking to move to another place either, only because I've moved many, many times in just the last few years, and don't want to keep packing up my things and starting over.
Here's the scope of the apartment... for those that are in the Southern California area and need a place or knows someone that does: I'm only looking for ONE roommate.
In Costa Mesa, 2 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 car garage, 1 assigned parking space. $1250/month ($625 ea.) along with half of cable and electric bill with a $400 deposit. Separate phone lines are preferred. I prefer a female roommate, who MUST be a non-smoker, has a steady income (not from parents), respects other people things, privacy, etc. and makes sure all bills are paid on time every month. Also overnight guests are welcomed, but I don't want a 'third roommate' either!
Anyway, this is just another thing to add to my quarterlifecrisis. It just sucks that I make enough money to support myself, yet it's not quite enough to live comfortably by myself. Some of my co-workers and friends have told me that even their monthly payment on their house isn't that much!! Well, if anyone is interested, please PM me!
Thanks!
Wilma
