I watched it. I guess nationwide, people are having a shitfit over the show. I don't see what the big deal was I found it thoughtful and realistic....for the most part.

Haven't watched it, but from the review I read, if I had TV, I would. It looks right up my alley.

Hmmmm I've seen the preview of it. Never got to watch it. When does it come on?
Word....you can have my tv. The folks haven't fixed my cable in my room and by the time I come in from work its time to go to sleep. You'll have to program the remote to it but its 35 inches. I think. Its big thats all I can remember. lol and freaking heavy.

Thanks, but I do have a TV, actually. I just don't have "TV" i.e. basic cable or satellite, or anything like that, and haven't since I was in high school and living at home. Since I live out in the boonies, you can't get even network without having a cable hookup, and I've never felt the need to to go to the expense. I'm rarely home, and when I am, I watch DVDs. Thanks, though!

lol, yep you sound like me. If it does get turned on its just to watch a dvd or play my ps2.
Though its collecting dust at this point. I looked up the other day and realized the tv isn't even plugged in. Probably hasn't been in weeks. I gotta start taking more breaks.

I think it was one at 9pm last night (Friday).
And what about rabbit ears! I haven't had cable in YEARS, but I can still get all of the basic channels, PBS, and FOX.

It's on at a bad time for me (Friday nights). Maybe some week I'll be home early enough to watch it, or have the flu or something. My VCR's had problems ever since I got digital cable, so I can't tape it, though I may get a DVR some day. So I probably won't get to watch it unless it survives long enough to make it to DVD.

I saw it, for some reason I got a real kick out of Daniel chilling with Jesus - but then again, I have a weird sense of humor.
Seriously though, the show was pretty interesting.

I thought it was cool that Jesus was just crackin jokes and chillin. But damn....couldnt they have gotten him some modern clothes? ;)
Its kinda crazy to me that people complained about this show w/o ever seeing it.

Me too! I'd totally want to have a beer with joke-cracking Jesus, even if he is a bad dresser :p

steamroller & wordsmith you should get a digital antenna. You get a few more channels and the picture quality is much better than normal analog antennas.

As for the people complaining about the show, it is the conservative christians complaining. And here I thought it was going to be the atheists complaining, but I guess they don't care about what gets put on TV. If people want to watch a show about a guy talking to an imagined Jesus, more power to them, they should have the choice. I don't understand if this show has anything to do with THE Book of Daniel from The Bible, or if it is a totally different thing (which I think it is). Either way, I have better stuff to watch on my TiVo, but I don't think it should be censored.
The series depicts an Episcopalian minister, played by Aidan Quinn, struggling with an addiction to Vicodin, among other problems in his diocese. Jesus is actually a character on the series, depicted in imagined conversations with the minister.

"They're going to point out that Daniel is hooked on prescription painkillers. His boss, [Bishop Congreve], wants him to share the painkillers with her. His father, another Episcopal bishop, is an uptight, hard-nosed guy who, as it turns out, is committing adultery.
Indeed. Groups are pointing out those things. And more. Daniel's eldest son is choosing to live a homosexual lifestyle—and Dad and Mom support his choice. His 16-year-old daughter sells marijuana. (They don't support that, but their live-in housekeeper does. She pays Grace for weed which she smokes to combat her diabetes symptoms.) And Daniel's other son, Adam, spends the majority of his time figuring out ways to get into the sack with his not-quite 16-year-old girlfriend. Dad's not keen on this, either, for the record."

After doing some reasearch, I can see why people would be complaining.

See, I think that's what makes the show edgy: it's realistic...and SO FAR, on my list of well done shows. Sure, MOST people aren't dealing with ALL the issues that this minister is dealing with, but it's TV!;)

Exactly, its just TV...and (not directed at you, sun) honestly if you havent seen the show, your complaints are baseless lip service. I sure hope people arent complaining about a gay son having supportive parents. MY GOD, the shame!! There wasnt anything indecent about the show.

They are complaining in Alabama, Indiana & Utah. That is why I said I can see why they are complaining.
I'm not complaing about the show, but it's not the kind of show I watch.

I know, but I felt I needed to state that the people who are complaining, tend to complain about a lot of stuff. Especially what is on TV.

Rabbit ears don't do anything out here. We're talking boonies. And I'm waaaay too cheap for a digital antenna. I'm literally almost never home to watch TV, anyway. I've ended up just watching the good TV shows the past few years when they come out on DVD.
