'Reborn in the USA' was:

Former singing celebrities (including ex Spandau Ballet lead singer Tony Hadley) doing something not dissimilar to American Idol with a view to reviving their floundering careers.

A full line up of (mainly British) pop has-beens started out on a tour bus in the US. They played a city per week with the music 'themed to match the city' and weekly evictions until the final episode - for which the remaining contestants flew back to London. It was real train wreck TV! :eek:
