pisces2473

My name is my AOL screen name...and I was like, Why change something that's been long lasting?

Signature--Stevie is my favorite singer and that quote is not from a song, but from a forward that she wrote to a book by Tai Babilonia (famous figure skater).

The Brian Williams one is not meant to be pompous but I liked it and his words were the most memorable part of my graduation day.

I picked my handle because its a sex device. My name is Ben. Hence Benwa. Benwa balls are like those chinese chime ballbearing things sold for doing hand exercises. They are inserted and used to gain muscle strength, like kagil (spelling"). No signature yet for me, I'll find one.

Benwa, that cracked me up! It's Kegel, btw. Leave it to a chick to know that ;)

'seren' is a Welsh word/ name - means 'star' (I'm half Welsh and think it's kind of pretty) - which can take a fair number of suffixes for the purpose of generating meaningful screen names/ user ids: seren -ade, -geti, -ity etc.

I'm sometimes more of a Linguistics nerd than I can control!

Signatures: I believe in the Wilde quote; the Sayers was begging to be used; and as for the Simon and Garfunkel... !!!

Rainster's not really that deep... um, I like rain, my town has a reputation for its wet weather....

Jaumpy
08-14-2003, 05:46 PM
Jaumpy is actually just a made up word that I came up with one day working during the summer in high school. It kind of stuck as a nickname ever since. It evolved a little in college to be used as a noun or pronoun.......crazy I know.....

StateNAurora

My name is my adress from college. I lived at the corner of East State Street and Aurora Street.

klo1335

klo are my initials and 1335 was my mailbox when I was in college.

coll214
08-15-2003, 12:12 PM
Most of my friends and family call me coll and 214 was my bag number when I worked in a grocery store- I use it for all my online stuff too.

Haven't thought of a good quote yet to add...

TankgirlyC

Ever see the movie Tankgirl? I was her when I was 14.....lol

the "C" is from my first name...

Its also my IM Screen name....makes it easier for people to contact me in other ways.

I really need to change it.....cause its so old but EVERYONE knows it so Id hate to do that and lose contact.

Phoenix
08-18-2003, 09:04 PM
I'm a Harry Potter fan... which is where the Phoenix comes from. I like that the phoenix has healing powers from its tears and sings a beautiful song.

No signature for me...I'm too lazy to choose one right now LOL :D

I'm not burly or anything, I live a beautiful place that offers so much to do in the mountains.

No signature, How about (Coming Soon)

Jay for the first letter in my name, and aic for my favorite band (Alice in Chains) while in high school.

senoy
09-04-2003, 04:16 PM
Senoy is one of the Hebrew angels that expelled Lilith from the Garden of Eden and protects the unborn and sleeping people. I started using it years ago as a gag against a friend of mine who was big into the Lilith myth and I just haven't gotten around to choosing a different nick. It's obscure as well, and I have a passion for obscure tidbits of history.

bumper3
09-11-2003, 05:52 PM
My favorite uncle used to be a police office and he had custom plate on the handle of his revolver with the word bumper on it (he probably called it that cause he would whap criminals with it when they got unruly). The 3 came from another place where there happened to be 2 other bumpers.

I got to come up with a good signature.

paperjam1015
09-13-2003, 07:05 PM
Paperjam is from Office Space....Sound bites available at www.bullshitjob.com
Samir is knocking the fax machine around......and
"WHY does it say paperjam when there is NO Paperjam...I swear to God..I.I..I one of these days...I.. I...I Just kick this PIECE of shit out the window!"

I was feeling a little job burnout when I picked that one and I also have pretty bad luck with the fax machine.

1015 is from The Cure's "10:15 on a Saturday Night" cuz it's a song about having no life...

And just to change up the pace a little...The signature is Garth Brook's "The River" I'm not a big country music fan, but the song lyrics can give you a little second wind when you are down.

Clearly I need to rent "Office Space"! I've never seen it, but it's been mentioned so many times I think I should! :p

pisces2473

I just realized I never explained how my name came to be....I just said it was my AOL screen name. Anyway, I'm a pisces (I'm sure you could figure that out) and the 2473 are the numbers on my license plate. Yeah, there you go.

So for all the newbies... how'd you choose your signature? :)

meatwad
10-17-2003, 04:12 PM
There's a show on the Cartoon Network called Aqua Teen Hunger Force. It's pretty funny and a good way to end the weekend if you stay up late enough. Meatwad is the little meatball guy. He's just funny and the guys at work say he's one of my better impressions that I do, so.

pisces2473

I was wondering where your name came from, Meatwad.

Frylock

Mine, too, came from the Aqua Teen Hunger Force. That, and because of how one of my friends remarked that my face sort-of resembled the Frylock character.

Oh, that, and because I'm the brains of the outfit ;)

Do you know Meatwad outside of QLC?

Frylock
10-18-2003, 12:16 AM
Nah; I can't say I do.. sorry to disappoint ya :p

I'm completely unaware if I know anyone here, in real life.

meatwad

That's right. I've never met this man before in my life.

Now you get me a beer and a woman. I'll give that water bed a workout. And where's my whiskey, I'm gonna get tore up!

Frylock

Yeah, sure - on my way to the liquor store, I'll just stop by the girlfriend store and pick up something.

teadrinker
10-19-2003, 10:38 PM
My name is teadrinker b/c I'm addicted. Well, nearly everyone in the south is. We make it by the gallon, you know, and guzzle it. I went to New York once when I was a kid and totally went into withdrawl. (Is that how you spell it?) I was climbing the walls, it was awful. I got my quotes out of a quote book about wild women. It's hilarious.

manders

my name is the ONLY nickname I've ever been given that

1-I liked
2-had roots and was used longer then a week

the quote I got from Almost Famous. It was powerful to me when I first heard it, and that feeling has never left whenever I read it or saw it to myself.

Mine is a no-brainer. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and now live in Florida.

Layback - it's the climbing move I use most frequently to get me around pretty much any obstacle on the rock face. People are amazed at the lings I can layback.

cazort
11-10-2003, 08:05 PM
My eternal screen name is my middle name! Cazort! The Cazort family is a strange and distinguished family of weird people, much like myself. :-)
