Just curious on predictions...

So who are you picking for Super Bowl XL?

This thread is mostly just for the poll, but feel free to throw some details in here if you want or join the fun in the main Super Bowl XL thread.

I picked the Steelers, but I don't really follow football. My grandpa is a Steelers fan, so thats pretty much the only reason why I picked them.

Steelers. Their defense is more proven. The Seattle secondary was ranked very low during the season. They were able to stop Steve Smith, but the Carolina offense was very one-dimensional, running with its third or fourth string running back, and the Steelers have a lot more weapons at wide reciever.

wow...10 votes to 0 in favor of the Steelers so far...

I like when the Steelers come into a game as the underdog though...so hopefully they carry the mindset (and chip on their shoulder) of they were underdogs all along the way and no one thought they could make it to the Super Bowl.

The key in my mind is to do what they did the last couple of games...get an early lead.

Seattle is a great team, but they might become one dimensional against the Steelers. The Steelers have a very good run defense, and that will put pressure on Hassleback to throw the ball. They can get around this by throwing some screen passes, but its tough to say that will help gain yardage.

Its my hometown, I have to pick Black & Gold. :D :D

Steelers.

If only that it means that Ben will cut off the mullet. ;)

No, seriously - Steelers.

I like the Seahawks but honestly, given the form and Steelers' defence last few games I dont see Seattle winning. Ofcourse there's Shaun Alexander to watch out for. But heck man, seeing the way Polamalu is fly tackling everyone, Jarome Bettis insanely determined and Roethlisberger being in great form, it's gonna be Steelers win!

24-10 Steelers. That Defense is the Truth.

But how is in the hell is a 6 seed out of the AFC a favorite over the 1 seed from the NFC? Is the AFC that good or the NFC that bad?

I particuarly enjoy how Troy's shoe left a skid mark on one of the Colts' helmets two weeks ago.

That man = insane.

I just found out where he's building his new house, too!
