I've gotten into a few social work programs for the fall, but the more I research about the career the more I am starting to wonder if it's for me. The main reason is that I question if the field can offer me the job security and standard of living that I need to be happy.
I am definitely interested in working in a helping profession, and I have always wanted to work in a medical setting (right now my job has me doing some work with local hospitals, and this is something I LOVE). So, I am interested in speaking to people who work in other "allied health" careers like Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, etc. I'd love to hear what you like and dislike about your career, what the job prospects are, what the day-to-day work is like, how the salary is, what is the training like, etc.
