Hey everyone.
Has anyone heard about these surveys that you can take online and get paid for it? From what I can gather, you can get paid anywhere from $5 to $75 per survey and you can take as many as you want. I saw an ad for this at www.jobbankusa.com. Seems like a legit job site, but I can't believe something like this is for real. Anyone out there that has had any experience with this? Seems to good to be true.

If its too good to be true----usually it is.
Ive heard about major scams on the net for surveys that pay---you spend your time taking the thing then they ask for an account number to direct deposit the $$.....well they are just getting the account number----then your screwed.

well i did come across one company that was legitimate. a friend of mine worked for them so he told me how it worked and everything. the only problem was that the surveys were only offered thursdays at 10am and they needed to be completed by 11am. so anyone who works or goes to school wouldn't necessarily have the time to participate. the good thing was they didn't ask for an account number to deposit the funds, just your ssn so they could file the appropriate tax papers. i can't remember the name of the site, but i'll see if i can get ahold of my friend.

Thanks for the replies guys! I am a little wary of the whole thing, but Tranquil, I really appreciate your offer of trying to get the name! I'd be anxious to check them out. Just something on the side for cash. Maybe there is one out there without such a time constraint.

I am interested in more info on this if anyone has any as well. I am in the process of scouring the internet for details. If I find any more info I will let you know. I have seen advertisements on several reputable websites, but I'm not sure of endorsement policies. They do receive a hefty affiliate fee....Oh wait, I've found out what I need. Better Business Bureau (http://www.bbb.org) indicates the company has an unsatisfactory record due to a pattern of complaints. Click on that link and type in Paid Surveys Online (w/ the spaces) and it will give you full details. The co. apparently goes by several other names as well and a general statement of caution is reccommend by the BBB. Sorry to dissappoint. I was hoping this weren't the case. I guess it's off to plan B for me...:frustrate

I just ordered the membership to GetPaidToSurveys.com. It is so lame. Bacially they just give you a list of a hundred different websites to go to and fill out more registration forms so that you can be entered into the database so that maybe, possibly the company will e-mail you to fill out a survey. Most of the companies say that they will "pay" you in coupons for their products.
The "money back gaurantee" was total scam too. They said 90 days, no questions asked. I wrote to ask for a refund on the day I ordered it and they said that they would not refund me until 60 days were up so that I could "really see how great the program is." I threatened to take legal action because of their fraudulent claims. They got mad at that point, but have processed my refund.
I signed up at 25 different websites a week ago and have not got any responses. If you want to do the same thing without a membership fee, just go to yahoo or google and type in "internet surveys"... you'll pretty much get the same results.
My opinion: don't bother.

I certainly would not recommend these "paid survey" sites. I'm embarrassed to say I actually did pay to get the list, and like CanadaGirl said, it's a complete waste. I signed up at a bunch of sites and have gotten some invitations to take surveys, but am usually disqualified by some demographic criteria or enough people have already taken the survey so it's closed. If you want to try it, though, here's a link to a free list: http://members.cox.net/webrewards/
p.s. a lot of the sites selling these survey lists are not reputable; the one I paid for has taken down it's web page

I was looking as well. I am glad this question was asked. What can a stay at home dad do to make some money? I am not looking for millions, just a reasonable income to help out.

I'm looking, so if I find anything I will let you know. I'm a single mother myself, so an outside "GIG" is not feasible. However, a little extra computer work after the kiddo goes "nite-nite" is always a bit more practical for me.

I Can't figure out that Could I Search this Forum by similar words instead of exact words.
I searched for similar words in http://www.google.com (http://www.google.com) and
http://www.boardexplorer.com (http://www.boardexplorer.com) and I found this Forum.
but inside the web site I could not find any intelligent search. you should know exact words to find similar topics
any Idea?

It may be legitimate (I don't know), but I'm wary of any site that simply asks for your SSN. Why would this company need your SSN instead of sending you a check?

Most of those sites are scams.
There are some legitimate sites, like ipsos, greenfield, etc.
But, you cant make a living off them.
A survey pays 2 dollars max on average, most pay far less, and they can take 30 minutes to do. And you only get paid if you qualify and complete the whole thing.
and you cant take as many as you want, only as many as you qualify for, which may be a few a week, but of those, you will still be weeded out half the time.
I have many maybe 50$ total this year from surveys, and I do them a lot.
It is more for fun, or for a chance to win.
Some sites dont pay per survey, they enter you into a draw for each survey you do. Oops, I was wrong before, because I have won two of those, 75$ each, over the last few years or so.
I also do product testing, where they send you new products that arent on the market yet, and you try them and say what you think. Mostly food and cleaning products.
You can also get a lot of free stuff over the internet, but set up a fake email account first, as it does lead to spam. But you can get lots of products totally free and it is so easy.
For those talking about how they need to make money from home, this is not the way to do it.
But there are other in home options. Like babysiting, day care, tutoring, pet sitting, dogwalking, medical transcribing, ebay selling, etc etc.Talk to you local employment non profit and ask for thier help and ideas.

NEVER pay for membership to these sites. All they ever do is give you a list of survey companies that you can get for free with about 5 minutes worth of effort searching on google.
I've done paid surveys for years and while I was in school and had time to do them consistently, was making about $3-$4k a year, hardly something to live off of, but helpful when it came to buying kegs and the like.
There are hundreds of market research sites that will pay you for taking surveys. If you are in the IT field, a lot of the surveys actually pay very well ($20-$100) for just a half hour usually. Otherwise, most surveys pay between $2-$10 and vary in length.
If you have extra time on your hands, you can try it and make a few bucks. If you're looking for a consistent stream of income to pay the bills, I would look elsewhere

I wouldn't pay for a survey list either, unless I was trying to make more than a hundred bucks a month. The main service those lists provide is access to hundreds of survey panels, some over 500+.
if you just looking to make some side money and work when you want, now and then, just sign up for the top survey panels. There are about 15 top ones, and then if you enjoy it and the money is good, you can always sign up for more.
it's well worth it to check out all you can. the opportunity is free, except for your time.

Most paid surveys are frauds or limited in pay.
Have you tried Blingo? (www.blingo.com) It's a search engine which gives out prizes to a random person for searching.
If you want to make some decent cash on the side, I would also suggest making a blog or a niche website that you have knowledge in, and use Google Adsense to display advertisements. If you have a site that brings in just 100 visitors a day, you could probably earn up to 300 bucks a month. Not a lot, but decent pocket money ^_^

Iv'e used blingo for months, and i have yet to win anything, but it's been written about in geneal media so I doubt it's a scam. I do belong to a actual paid survey site, and i have gottne paid numerous times from the,. So some of em are legit.
