I have a coke problem at work...I must go through like seven cans of diet coke at work...It started when I quit smoking. Is Diet Coke real bad for you?

Well, supposedly the aspertame is.
Can you switch to water or decaf tea or tea in general?

I'd venture to say ANYTHING and everything can be bad for us if we don't consume in moderation! I love a Diet Coke every now and then...

And sadly I did think you meant the other coke at first :googly:
It's not the worst thing in the world, but everything in moderation. I have one everday with my lunch and that's it. I look forward to it, and then I'm good. But there are plenty that say that the nutrasweet isn't good for you. Ehh, gotta die from something I guess...

I mean it beats cigarettes right?
I tried giving it up the other day and got a MASSIVE fucking headache.

I'd take a nutrasweet addiction over nicotine anyday. But the headache if from caffeine withdrawals i'm sure. I notice if I don't have my measly one i'll sometimes get one...

I have one to two a day...finally switched over to Diet Coke when I realized how many calories the regulars were giving me every day.
Is Diet Coke real bad for you?
Yes.
Try switching to tea, carbonated water, or juice. Do you drink it for the sugar, the caffeine, or the carbonation?

It's not bad for you as much as it is thoroughly pointless. It's just sugar water (or artificial sweetener water). You're better off with something with nutritional quality.

Maybe try iced tea. If you like that kind of thing.
I'll argue that aspartine and caffeine are bad for you. Who wants to fight?

Maybe there are other Caffiene delivery devices that don't have sugar...black coffee, hot tea or can I use a needle?

Hah...you can, and I won't argue...but sunlight is bad for you, too. Doesn't mean I'm gonna avoid it entirely. :)

Lonestar...I prefer black coffee (or with cream, but never sugar).

A high intake of caffeine at once can cause caffeine-induced mental disorder. The symptoms include restlessness, nervousness, excitement, insomnia, stomach upset, muscle twitching, incoherent speech, heart palpitations and excessive alertness.
In most cases an overdose of caffeine will not kill you. However, it can be fatal. A lethal dose is estimated at 10 grams. However, a toxic dose will vary from person to person.
A can of soda has 46 mgs of caffeine...10 cans has 450 mgs...It would take 217 cans for a lethal dose in a 24 hour period. That's a lot of soda.
long-term use of excessive amounts of caffeine can cause sleeplessness, anxiety, dehydration, and heart palpitations.
