I have a lot of questions about a lot of different jobs. Because I'm graduating this summer and I'm definitely going to graduate school and I can't choose major. Has anyone here gotten a master's degree in health services management or healthcare, or something to that nature? Does anyone know about the nature of the job.
I already asked some people about Social work and counseling I want to know some more about health service administration/management?

The Records/Information Management Area within Healthcare is huge right now for some reason. The best thing to do is go to monster and look for healthcare jobs and check their specs- that usually gives me a good idea.

I was looking at that. I looked at a couple of jobs that were in health care management they were paying 76-96,000 a year.

My aunt is a hospital administrator. It was years and years of dues-paying, and working first as a hands-on medical professional, for her (she started out as a respiratory therapist, and did her masters, etc. after being in the field fro a while. It's very stressful, can be hard to balance with family life (she has three kids), but it pays very well, and she gets to travel a lot.

Just some advice...it seems that you're unsure of what major to choose. If that's the case, I wouldn't go to grad school immediately.

Thanks for the advice.
I know that if i don't go to grad. school now then i won't get the chance to go again for a long time or get the chance to go at all. I know where i want to work I just don't know what to get into. I like teaching others about the things that i know, but i also like giving advice, i'm organized and i like directing people, and i'm a good speaker. I know that i want to work in a hospital. I absolutely love doing research and stats., at the same time i'm empathetic and have a lot share with others.
With all those skills i also know what it is like living paycheck to paycheck. I don't want to work where I know i will be barely getting by. With my undergrad. major, there really aren't too many options unless there is an advancement in education.

I would think this is the normal route with any type of administration job. Every place I have ever worked, including where I am now, all the administrators have no life and appear to be constantly stressed. I guess the higher up you go, the more responsibility you have.
