My insurance decided to cut the coverage of birth control pills (  ). Instead of the $8 I was paying before, I now have to pay $41.

I came across this site: www.doctorsolve.com
My pills would cost about $15 through that site.

It's an online pharmacy located in Canada. Everything I can find on it says that it's a reliable and safe pharmacy but I'm still a bit unsure about trusting it, simply because I've heard from doctors/articles that foreign pharmacies aren't good. I wouldn't have a problem buying from say drugstore.com though. Has anyone heard of this company or bought prescriptions through a Canadian pharmacy?

Canadian pharmacies are perfectly safe. They are as strict as American pharmacies about safety. The only reason they say that is because the drug companies lose a lot of money when you buy Canadian. They charge Americans 4-5x what they charge any other country and that's how they make their money. I would only be worried about drug safety if you're buying from a 3rd world country. I too was getting my BC pills from a Canadian pharmacy (rxnorth.com) when I did not have insurance. I was paying less for name brand than I paid in US for generic.

I think some of my hesitation might come from always assuming that quality (safe) drugs are expensive. When I filled a previous medication using my insurance and it came out to be about $1.50, I didn't feel like it was a good product. :googly:
