actually i already know the answer why she is still here but i am amazed at how backwards things work at this company

this woman is literally dead weight here and can't even complete BASIC tasks. she can't type, can't see, can't take down phones messages, can't lift a stack a papers, can't follow directions and she can't even stay awake! :googly:  hell she can't even remember anything. you'll tell her something and like a goldfish she will blink her eyes and forget she had a convo with you.

for example when i left my desk to go on break i told this woman to answer the phone and take a message for me. my manager Jill calls and when i et back the message on my desk says "mary jo called" there is no mary jo on this shift or any other shift for that manner. when i pointed that out to her she was insistant that the caller said the name "mary jo" it wasn't until an hour later that i realized it was my manager that called when she called me in a huff wondering why i never returned her call

i can't tell you how many times i got in trouble for stuff she did based on the fact she cannot understand basic directions and won't ask questions either. many of times i went to the rest room or break only to find everything totally screwed up. i have had numerous talks with her and so has the manager

everyone knows she is unfit for work and nothing but a hinderence here but they let her stay because HR is scared to fire her because they don't want to be slapped with a lawsuit. the company i work for has had a lot of problems with discrimination and sexual harrassment lawsuits in the past because they allowed bigots and sexist to work here and run things unchecked. but now all the damn lawsuits has had a chilling effect here because now they are scared to fire anyone even if they are incompetent. so its from one extreme to another.

to make matters worse our dept is being outsource so now its imparative that every worker be able to work in other sectors to make sure work gets done as our head count dwindles down. i must have spent 6 months training this woman and she still cannot work by herself or do the basics. this is holding me back cause now i have to stay here and babysit.

all the managers/supervisors know how i feel and agree that i am right and that she should be removed from this job ut because its HR's call they can't do anything even when she has the worst employee rating on the shift

:googly:

anyone else experience this mess?
