Does anyone have experience with good fitness DVDs? I'm looking for something that's more than a one time deal...I want to be able to keep myself challenged from month to month (and motivated too...not easy!). I heard about a service called PUSH which is kind of like Netflix for fitness since it sends you a DVD each month tailored to what you want to work on. I like the idea of it being customized and changing things up a bit each month. Anyone familiar with it?

I haven't heard of that but there are a lot of fitness dvds on netflix. I recommend the messageboards at videofitness.com and also the reviews on collagevideo.com to help find what particular dvds would be good for you.

I have the Turbo Jams system and i love it. Spent a lot of $$ on it, but i have the ability to mix it up that way.
There are a lot of videos out there that are customizable. I hear Fitness Yourself, which plays on video game consoles, is good for beginners.

I usually just TiVo stuff off of FitTV. That gives me a bunch of variety. Their Inhale Yoga show is great and so are their All-Star Workouts.

The local public library might have some DVDs. You can test it out before you buy the DVD.

Thanks for all the ideas! I've checked out a couple of options and am still thinking I'll try PUSH...when I went through the process to sign up, it asked a lot of good questions about my fitness level, goals, music taste, kind of cardio I like, and the combo that ended up coming together sounded like a really good way to kickstart exercising for myself! The trainer I picked is Bob Harper, who is the trainer from the Biggest Loser...has anyone seen him on the show? The description of him said he was a really good motivator...

Just thought I'd share that PUSH is going really well...I know lots of people are looking for ways to make exercising a bit easier and I think it does a good job of it. The exercises are easy to follow and there's a nice little timer on the side of the screen how long you have to go... If anyone else tries it, please share! It's more fun to try these things out with other people :) A friend of mine is giving it a shot too and it's cool to hear about how it is different depending on how you customize it...

Is that the supertan exercise guy in tv commercials? Have to admit, he always scared me a bit ;)
Trying to pick my next cardio combo for PUSH...there's a bunch of different options with stuff like martial arts, yoga, pilates, dance, etc. Any suggestions on stuff that has worked well for people?

yea, for workout music, you basically need hard-hitting euro-dance music.... nothing else does the job really. Search around on itunes for "euro club hits" or check this link:

It depends what you want to do....?? What are your fitness goals!? In the 1980s, I used to the 'Jane Fonda' ones with my mum (however, her exercises are out of date now!)
There's heaps of Cardio ones such as TaeBo ones. My sister does the "AussieFit" dance/aerobic ones. You can also try Pilates ones, if you want to work on your flexibility.
