Hi All,

I'm not really one for informericals, but Winsor Pilates has really sparked my interest. I've always wanted to try pilates (have heard amazing things) but cannot afford to go to a class and don't feel like I would really 'get' it from a book.

Anyone have any experience with the Winsor DVD's? What do you like/dislike? Did you see results? Easy to follow? I'd love your feedback.

Thank You !

A couple of years ago I was out of shape so bad and I wanted to have a more firm body so I ordered some Windsor Pilates video. It worked very well for me and I liked it a lot, that why I stayed motivated. I also tried the series with the elastic band, it added resistence which I needed. The most recent series is with a ring, I'd like to try that one but I will try to find it in a strore, to save the shipping and handling.

I borrowed a few from a friend. It was good; the DVD flowed really well. I have seen some pilates DVDs that are really slow, even 'advanced' ones.
I have taken a pilates class and know the movements. I want someone to guide me through the movements. Tell me to do five reps of this and then do the next thing. I didn't need someone to slowly go through the movements so I could learn them. There is instruction available if you don't know the movements, but the workout is not so slow you get bored of it.

Thank you for your response. How long did it take you to achieve results? How often did you have to do it? Thanks again!

Thank you for your response. So your saying it wasn't too slow and yet not too advanced?

Well I started doing Pilates in a class and then it was getting too expensive so I started renting DVDs from Netflix. I haven't tried Winsor b/c they weren't available on Netflix although I'd like to. I think Pilates is really good for me, I need to get motivated to start doing it 3x a week like I used to. Don't get me wrong, it didn't do anything to diminish fat, but it helped me build my core muscles which helped with posture and back pain.

Pretty much. They are good DVD's. I have tried 3-4 other Pilates DVD's and Winsor is better than all of them. Short workouts, quick paced, challenging.

My Pilates instructor recommended the book "Pilates for Dummies" too.

I have Winsor Pilates and I also got the resistance band version. I thought they were good but I got a little bored with it after awhile, so I haven't used it in a long time. But they were definitely good exercise.

Right now I've been doing Yoga Booty Ballet. :)

Hi!
I purchased Winsor Pilates a few years ago (I bought the whole set) & I love it! It does work extremely well.
I stopped them for awhile & was only going to the gym to weight train & do cardio & I wasn't getting the results I wanted so I'm going back to Winsor Pilates. I just purchased Winsors new Toning Circle for $10 at WinsorPilates.com. Now, I'll do Winsor Pilates & go to the gym for lt.weight training & cardio.
