Rent in West LA

I'm new to the area and am considering on moving to a new place. Right now I'm paying $750 plus about $100 for utilities for a master bedroom in Culver City. Does that seem reasonable for the area? My new job is in Gardena and I would like to find something between there and "Little Osaka" / Sawtelle area. Are there any "bargain" locations that I'm missing?

Actually, that sounds more than reasonable for the area. I live in Weho so I don't know much about Gardena, but I have to tell you, you will be hard pressed to find anything lower than that unless you're willing to live in a dump.
