So are you all liking Big Love as much as I do. I was a little freaked out about it before it all started..the premise was a little strange...but I absoulutely love it. I can't believe there are only a few episodses left of the season!!

I LOVE that show and with all the rain we got this weekend I used it as a chance to catch up on Big Love Episodes via on demand! I think margene is adorable, Nikki is a conspiring vixen and his first wife is the only normal one. I also see sexual tension between margene and ben the oldest son from his first wife...

I thought I'd have no interest in the show, but I watched it last night and it's pretty good. There's some things I still don't quite understand, but I'm sure they'll have a marathon one weekend and I'll catch up.

If I had TV, I would probably watch it.

As it is, I'll probably just Netflix it when it's cancelled. 'Cause that's how I roll.

Yeah, that is one thing is that it really is the kind of show that you need to tune
in every week to get the true sense of just how good it is. There are so many intricacies of the storylines that if you miss you can never appreciate the show as much. I'm sure you can catch it one demand, and every week it is on a couple more times to give all of us slackers more chances to watch. There are a couple episodes I have watched on sunday and then a few more times throughout the week!! That's a problem...obsessed.

For all you other obessess-ies...I found a contest you might want to check out...

Yeah, i have On-Demand at work, but not at home. I usually always catch it one sundays, but i love how many times they play it throughout the week on regualr HBO.

As far as Niki- yeah I remember in the beginning just hating her and now I can't help but feel badly for her. Has anyone been reading Marge's blog on the Big Love/HBO board??

I've been watching the series from the beginning on On Demand. I can't believe how much I missed/forgot from watching the show the first time around. This is such a great show. It's so interesting to see what this "other" lifestyle is all about.

you know, I think that was one part of it that really appealed to me...its like all of this reality tv stuff..it just appeals to the voyeristic side of you. Everytime they show anything about Juniper Creek I am so fascinated. I do love however, how much they focus on the family and the family dynamics when it comes to Bill's family- instead of falling into the main focus being on polygamy.

So what do you all think of the whole fourth wife thing?

What's interesting to me about the show, is how they really do show pologamy from all angles. With the Henricksons, it is almost as if they show a lifestyle of pologamy from people who WANT to be in this lifestyle. They also show the side where the wives are like "sisters and friends". But they also show the sick, abusive, cult-side that is Juniper Creek. With the 4th-wife thing, it's interesting how they show the side where all "family members" must agree on the 4th wife as opposed to the side at Juniper Creek. Now here's a question: Has anyone actually been exposed to pologamists in "real life"? Or cults or anything like that? This topic intrigues me.........

Good point. I enjoy that too. I was worried in the beginning that is was all going to be very Juniper Creek style. But I love the multiple angles they incorporate in the show. how many episodes are left?

Yup. And the Sopranos too of course! I bet Nicki kicks Margene in the stomach cuz she's pissed she's preggers and not her. "Oh Bill, give me a boy, give me a boy Bill".................

Wasn't Chloe Sevigny the one who was in all the controversy for giving a guy a BJ in a regular movie and they actually showed it? I looked up her imdb and she was in Kids too. Seems like Big Love is against character for her.

I remember her in Kids and in Boys Don't Cry. I like her character though in Big Love.

So what did you guys think of the finale? I fell asleep last night, so just watched it on On Demand since I'm going in late to work today. I don't know, it's a toss up with the Sopranos that this is quickly becoming my fave show!!

That's right. Thanks for refreshing my memory. I think Nicki needs to keep the "new look" from last night. She looks so much better that way obviously...........

Sopranos finale was LAME.

Big Love finale was pretty good. I couldn't tell if Nicki was doing an "I told you so" at the end or really felt bad for Barb with that Boss Lady comment.

I think the Sopranos has become completely ridiculous. I also spend a lot more time laughing at the characters now than being in suspense.

SPOILER ~SPOILER ~SPOILER ~SPOILER ~SPOILER ~SPOILER ~

OK now I am wondering IF NIKKI was responsible for outing Barb as a member of Polygamy...since she couldn't be up on stage with barb and was jealous and said earlier in the show that she shouldn't do it if she cannot be who she really is..also because it showed Nikki's father picking up the phone and making a call before Barb was pulled of stage... waht are all your thoughts or theorys?

**********SPOILER ALERT FOR TiVo PEOPLES**********

No. It was Roman's 16 year old wife. She was mad at Barb for not letting her stay so that was how she got her revenge.

Was it? I assumed it was the lady that worked for Bill with the red hair that he saw come in... She had been asking a lot of questions previously.

I think she was going to but she didn't get the chance because Roman beat her to it. If you look, she has a surprised look on her face when they disqualified Barb. In all honesty, Barb knew better than to go through with the competition. She talked Bill out of joining the businessmen's club for pretty much the same reason things turned south.

I thought the weird thing was that Roman seemed sad when he did it. I wasn't sure if he was still jut upset about Albie, or if he was sad to expose them as polygamists. Which didn't make much sense to me.

BTW, was that the finale? It seemed like it.
