Now now...I'm not a skinny minney to fit into the nice looking trendy suits...

I need thigh coverage due to rather noticeable stretch marks from my weight gain...

I'm also not a VERY large person....

I'm at this awkward...in between type size dealy I suppose. I went to target...and all the stuff was meant for smaller women...and in the plus section the sizes were TOO big and it was 1 piecers (grandma styled) or these awful suits with wierd shorts...which I would've gone for had they not been soo large.

I had already been to Kohl's this year, but I decided to look again. YIPPEE!! There is one line of suits that look good for my frame. Skirty type bottom and a top that has a built in bra to hold the girls in. It's this line, but mine is brown with flowers all over it.

I can easily guess that most women, like myself, find that swimsuit shopping is not only finding something that works, but a big mindgame to conquer as you get very insecure. The target experience left me depressed and thinking I was very unattractive cause none of the cute suits fit right....blah to that I say!!!

Yeah swimsuit shopping is an exercise in self loathing for me as well. I am apple shaped so my stomach area has always been large; even when I am underweight, I don't look ideal in a bikini. I have large breasts so it's futile to even attempt to try on suits in the normal store any more, they are designed for a B cup and will not do the job. I now buy swimsuits online where I can get them by cup size.

I have two swimsuits, a red one and a blue one. It was 5 years ago when I got the red one.

I guess this is one area where it is easier being a guy.

I think I will go swimming this weekend. It is going to be nice here tomorrow and they just opened the pool.

i'll agree - speedos never go out of style and the fabric gives to allow one to gorw into them................ :huge:

I have never laughed so hard about bathing suits...whew... LOL

That would be a "we own a pool and my husband likes this suit" type purchase :huge:

There isn't much of a difference between those suits and wearing no suit. Maybe the Europeans are on to something. You don't have a problem of finding a suit then.
