For the past few days, I have been buying a new water bottle at work with the intent of keeping it for atleast a week, I hate throwing water bottles away. I usually wash them and reuse. Anywyas, the cleaning lady is throwing away my water bottle everyday now. She/he is not supposed to touch anything on my desk unless I put a "Please clean this desk" note. And the worst thing is- the paper that I left on the floor the night before is still there.

Really annoying.

LMAO b/c this just happened to me this AM for the first time in 5 YEARS. My ode to Diet coke in the corner of my desk was gone, in addition to about 2 water bottles. kinda pissed me off. then some stuff on other ppl's desks were moved around too. It's just weird; we're not used to having cleaning people that like actually clean :googly:

cleaning lady is poor and needs to collect cans for recycling. just get yourself a real water bottle, the 64 oz kind so that you'll know when you've had 8 glasses a day.

Does she speak English? We had that problem a few times here (throwing out the wrong things and vice versa)...but we would leave them notes in Spanish and the problem would be solved. Our cleaning crew are pretty nice people.

Dude, half the cleaning staff employed here probally make more than I do, especially when they've been here awhile; they start at at least $15 an hour and they're yearly raises are better than most.... but they move ppl around in the buildings, thus new lady.

No kidding I was just about to say that! Espesially the property managements company who leases to us, they own like half the commercial buildings downtown and all teh caretaking staff carry blackberries!

Blackberries?? that is crazy. i would think Nextels but Blackberries, I guess corporate is better, cause i know the people who clean in colleges, and dorms don't make squat.

I used to clean an office building 1 night per week. There were 15 cubicles/offices and 2 restrooms. At the time I was paid $20-30 hr (3 yrs ago). It really wasn't a bad gig b/cuz I could listen to music and pick the night I wanted to work. I made about $80- $120 each time. So it was an extra $320- $480/month. The reason I got paid alot was because it was through a family I knew and they trusted me and didn't want to hire a stranger.

Again depends on the school. Because the service employees who at least clean the offices in my place of work (a university) make out pretty well.
