drastic changes

I just posted the recent grad topic, and this one is kind of related. I had some temp and internship experiences since graduation that reaffirmed my desire to work in a field not at all related to my major. Specifically, I'm a architecture major turned publishing enthusiast (wierd, I know). I worked different major-related jobs during summer breaks, and realized this wasn't what I wanted to do kind of late. I stuck it out though and graduated on time, but that doesn't help me explain my change of heart at interviews.
Has anyone else made a drastic career decision right out of school, or later?

I guess I count. I graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism and now I'm hating my job so much I'm considering becoming a teacher.
