I walk to an from work each day rather than take my car...its two miles to work, so four miles combined daily...its takes me about 50 (combined) minutes so I am guessing I average 4.8 MPH. I weigh 140, so I guess I burn about 280 cals just getting to and from work. That's not bad at all. I guess it almost justifies that Wendy's Frosty that I had at lunch the other day.

I guess New Yorkers burn a lot of calories walking too...I know many people who live in that city that walk to/from work.
