I haven't seen it, but from what I heard, it would annoy the hell out of me. Jessica is so dumb. I love how Nick was like, I'm gonna kill her...LOL So typical!

I've seen a few episodes... you can't help thinking to yourself, is she really that stupid or just putting on a great performance?? LOL... but it is funny regardless :p !

I read a great article on MSN the other day about reality shows. The writer's point was that we love them because they show us that being a celebrity isn't really what we wanted anyway.

If the trade-off for fame and a record deal at 14 is being COMPLETELY ignorant of how "normal" people live, then I'll take being able to cook, clean, and camp, thank you very much.

Or, it's just fun to watch someone else making huge mistakes and then you feel better about the little ones you've made.

I think the show's hysterical, but I also think she's playing up-a little.

Are you kidding me?? If they're coming here, i'd try like hell to get tickets. That could be hysterical! LOL. Of course if it's anything like w/ the jeopardy ticks... I got a thanks, but no thanks card instead of the actual tickets  !!

One of my friends and I have an argument going about this show, she is convinced that Jessica is putting on a good act and that it's all just over-dramatized to make the show more interesting, appeal to the masses, all that jazz. But I'm convinced that she really is just that spoiled, spacey, petty, selfish, and... I could go on, but why dwell on it. I've been known to watch it once in awhile, but it always leaves me shaking my head wondering how people can live in the lap of luxury and still find things to bitch about when other people struggle to pay their rent or live in a cardboard box. Nic is hot, I won't argue with that though!!

I saw one over the weekend in which he was trying to decide how much to pay the cleaning lady and he said something like, "Doesn't $X seem like a lot for folding clothes??" (Sorry, I can't remember how much it was, but it wasn't all that much.) That kind bugged me.

from watching the show, I think Nick is a tightwad. I don't think he was making a judgement on the housekeeper. I think he's just cheap.

(I'm not sure whether I love, or am embaressed, that I have all these opinions on how famous people are. I guess I should stop worrying and just accept the fact that I enjoy these shows; whatever my reasons are!!)

...on acting vs. not acting. Check out this article: http://www.tvguide.com/news/insider/031003a.asp

My personal opinion is she's really not that bright and she also may be playing it up a bit. I still love the show. I can't wait to see what 'brilliant' thing comes out of her mouth next. I mean, come on, when someone offers her a buffalo wing and she says, "I don't eat buffalo"?

I don't necessarily think Nick is a tightwad. Yeah, they do make a lot of money. But if he has the background that they keep saying he does, like cleaning up after himself, doing laundry & dishes, etc. then I think he is just logical and has a good work ethic. And he's probably also been taught the value of money. He's made comments like they waste more money going out to eat rather than cooking in. I think he thought it was crappy to spend $20 an hour of good money for someone to fold clothes when his spoiled wife could get off her lazy ass and do it herself. B/c their daughter wanted it, her parents were partly the ones who wanted to hire the housekeeper - after saying they didn't want to get involved. And then they jumped right in anyway.

Jen - I think you'd enjoy the show. If anything, it makes you feel better about yourself when Jessica makes a dumb comment. :D

This shows you how young and immature she is. What the hell? I'm the same age as her, not married and I'm highly capable of doing all these things she's so effing clueless about. Whatever. Nick should get out of there and FAST!

Thanks, Phoenix :)

And thank YOU - after you copied & pasted that, my spelling and grammatical errors became glaringly obvious! ;D

Seriously, though, one of my friends asked how long he could put up with the trophy wife if she's really that stupid. After her looks fade...um, what's left? Her wit?!

Hahaha, sorry to indirectly point out your errors.

As for Jessica...yeah...after beauty fades, what will be left of her? Not much :p

I'm almost embarrased to admit I've watched three episodes...but I was wondering how long he's gonna stay with her too. There's a definite difference in maturity levels and he can only be happy being "the protector" for so long...the cuteness of having to do everything for her will wear off. Of course, maybe she'll grow up...

And the one with his new video....that boy is hot!

Sorry, I couldn't resist (for those who saw this episode):

And, agreed... boy is definitely good eye candy w/ a nice bod...

I hate the show, but can't resist if it comes on. I hate it (and shows like the Fabulous Life of...and It's Good to Be...) because it reminds me how I'll never have all those luxuries! I know, I'm crabby. But, seriously, it is unfair that she has all that! I think our society has some really misplaced values.

I am going to be honest and say that if I had to remain a virign until I got married and I was dating Nick....dam straight I would marry the guy :) He is so dam hot and the only reason I watch the show. The only think I don't get is how he puts up with her going..."oh, baby baby baby.." It would really annoy me.

Now there's a classic example of a guy going out w/ a chick b/c of her looks- b/c it sure as hell isn't for her brain... but then i'd take him in a heartbeat - !!
