Anyone else obsessed with the I Love the 80's on VH1?? I just can't seem to stop watching it. I loved that they dedicated a part of the new ones to scratch and sniff stickers!! I wonder why they don't make those anymore!!

I spent all weekend watching I Love the 80s Strikes Back! I love the show. Although, I feel that I Love the 80s was better than I Love the 80s Strikes Back, because the orinigal focused moe on the music of the 80s, while the new edition seems to focus more on movies. Sometimes the people that they interviewed weren't always the greatest, could have done better with that.

I am too. It's just so addicting. Every time they pull out some of the toys; like Rainbrow Brite i crack up :). And you have to love a show that talks about Garbage Pail kids...I wish they'd replay the original one too...

Thunder.. Thunder... THUNDERCATS!!!
Mo Rocca is the best personality on there. He's always trying to ascribe a particular phenomena to the political spectrum. "Rambo was a commentary on the new tough US foreing policy" and the ilk. :)
Plus, I always get nostalgic for the 80s. I know that it was a time of greed and hokey fashion, but it was MY greed and hokey fashion!

I had not seen this show, and after finally checking to see what this link is about, I watched I guess The 80's strike back and ohmyfreakinggoodness! I was laughing pretty hard. My little ponies, stirrup pants, glow worm, freddy kruger, and the grimlins...It is so funny. My nephew who is 10 was visiting and watched and didnt' get it at all...that made it even funnier to me, because now he thinks I am really old and wants to see pictures of me to see my stirrup pants, kinky hair, layered socks, and can't believe I palyed with little plastic ponies. One of the guys they asked about the My Little Pony said "It doesn't do anything...it should be My Little Equestrian Statue" hahaha I still have those ponies somewhere...now I'm hooked thanx guys! :lol:

I adore this show!
and, for the record, I still have My Little Ponies (I had the castle too!) and, bless my mother, she saved some of my Garbage Pail Kid cards!! I used to trade those on the bus in kindergarten w/ the boys! I think I had quite a stack, if I'm remembering correctly!
(sigh) I wish they'd bring those back.
The 80's ruled!! if only because I HAD to take a nap and I was too young for creditors to hassle for money I don't have!!!!!!

They have brought the Garbage Pail Kids back...the new cards parody things like Harry Potter with the kid sitting on the toilet.

Let's see, they sell GIJoes, Transformers, now Garbage Pail Kids. Freddy, Jason, Star Wars and ET are in theatres and I recently saw Fridge Perry on a Comedy Central movie. If only the Bangles can make a comeback, my evil retro dreams will be complete. :)

I thought I love the 70s was pretty good, but really, I love the 80s Strikes Back RUlez!!!
I almost cried when the segment for Jem came on. I miss Jem! And Thundercats! but, I haven't seen anything on She-Ra. Did they have She-Ra? I think He-Man was in the original I love the 80s, and it would be sad if they failed to include She-Ra, the Princess of Power!

Yes the 80's Stirkes Back is very cool indeed! I also like to watch We Are The Eighties on VH1 Classic.

Manders, I had the My Little Pony castle too! I thought I was the only one, none of my friends had it. But mysteriously Barbie took over My Little Pony's mansion - did they really need the table and chairs? They were HORSES.
I loved the 80s - jelly shoes, Jem, stirrup pants and all.

I remember my mom buyin me a Members Only jacket. Damn that thing was so cool :}
Is there anyone else here that didn't like Fragel (sp?) Rock? I loved The Muppets, but I couldn't stand Fragel Rock. Ugg even as a kid I thought it was dumb :}
Did any of you get stuck with an Atari 2600 for many year while your friends got the newer consoles like the 5200 or a Coleco Vision? Man I was soooooooo jealous when the kid across the street got a 5200 and I pleaded for a 5200 for Xmas but we was po white trash.

I ALSO hated Fraggle Rock! I also disliked Sesame Street, but in general I liked the Muppets.
