I just bought a new (used) Miata today! Stick-shift convertible. :huge: My check cleared and I get too pick it up after work....

Miatas are cute. Not that practical up here in the land of snow and ice, although I know a few who drive them, but cute!

umm, are you joking? I'd be willing to bet that a large percentage of the American population cannot buy brand new cars (and many can, but chose not to because it doesn't make much financial sense to)

BTW--My 1999 Ford Escort was bought new-used. I'm all about not buying brand new!

I doubt I'll ever buy a new car. I just can't help but think that it's never going to be worth the money, the depreciation is just too instantaneous.

Plus I like the generation 1 Miatas (1992-1998)...plus it will give me stuff to work on. It runs perfectly with 60k miles, but I want to replace a bunch of stuff/trick it out.
