Well zenmistress, I will tell you the truth. My love is still the same it's been. It's a story I've repeated a zillion times on this forum, but I fell in love with a girl two years ago who went back to the Czech Republic (where she was from). We're broken up now, and that may be the case, and it may always be the case, but my love, my "thing" according to that story is to head over there and live and teach (or at least work professionally).

Inuts... Ihave beet to the czech republic and I would have to say I am in love with Europe, period. I lived in London for 18 months and I miss it a lot...

One day I hope to go back there too.

What do you think of this article?
I liked it. Got me to think & now I'm mulling around ideas of not only identifying what I love, but how to better incorporate these things into my life. Will probably print & keep the article stashed away w/ excerpts from Edward Deci's book "Why We Do What We Do", Covey's "First Things First", Collin's "Good to Great", & Julia Cameron's "Answered Prayers". All books I refer to when I'm looking for direction.

Do you think it is important to find what you love?
Absolutely. I'm sure there are plenty of rewards to living a good, honest life but I bet it's also pretty satisfying to get near the end & realize you've done your best to love well. Not just what or who you loved, but how.

Do you know what you love?
A list off the top of my head: solitude & contemplation; exploration of religious/spiritual application in the real world (mostly how it manifests in people & how it's positively impacted their lives); writing w/ a fine tip ballpoint pen (Pentel RSVP or Pilot EasyTouch); playing classical piano (solo) & violin (orchestra); singing choral music, especially Handel's Hallelujah Chorus; the intimacy that comes out of honest connection w/ others; human physiology, pathology & how it heals & adapts; giving stuffed animals names & personalities...

Others: friends & family; sushi & really good thai food; swimming; going to the beach; traveling; hiking; doing pushups; ST:TNG; going to the movies alone; trying out different languages; typing fast; going to school
